Commercial Description:
Pour Hop Sun Summer Wheat Beer into a pint glass, give it a long whiff and you'll realize that this isn't your average wheat beer. Filtered to a golden clarity and dry-hopped to perfection, Hop Sun is a fantastic session ale in which flavors of wheat, barley and hops co-mingle to a refreshing and zesty conclusion. Hints of lemon and sweet malts waft to the fore as a touch of bitterness contributes to Hop Sun's bright finish. Enjoy Hop Sun all summer long as a perfect balance to your outdoor recreation. Summer never tasted so good.

12 oz bottle from Sicilliano’s market in Grand Rapids, MI. Clear light amber with large white head. Aroma is a lot of citrus hops with with med sweetness. Flavor is that same citrus hop with med pine bitterness, some wheat, orange and other fruit esters, some red grape, mild alc. Body is medium-thin with mild carb, not as creamy as a lot of wheat beers can be. Overall a solid hopped wheat.

Pours a clear yellow gold with some orange around the edges, a foamy white head, big sweet aroma with hop fruit and flowers, faint hop pine in the background, sweetness reminds me of some Belgian Blondes I have had, little cake mix fragrance, faint malt fragrance though sweetness dominates in the nose, taste of malt, malt sweetness and some fruit flavor, hop citrus rises to balance and show its bitterness in the finish, mouth feel is medium thin and makes this brew easy to drink, medium or less carbonation, finishes dry on the palate, I found this very nice to drink even though I thought the wheat and malt were minimal in aroma and taste.

Draught at Bocktown. Hoppy grapefruit aroma, bit of resin and quite floral. Clear golden yellow body with foamy white lacing head. Medium bodied with medium to light carbonation. Starts with actually a pilsner malt profile rather than a wheaty one, light acidity and some decent hoppiness more characteristic of a German pils. Decent level of fruity hoppiness, mild resin and grapefruit. Mild sweet finish with some bitterness. Grainy bitter after.

bottle poured golden in color with a two finger head that diminished quickly leaving a layer of foam on the beer. smell is hops, grapefruit, lemon peel, light wheat, and some flowery herb. taste is nice and smooth, somewhat creamy, and has that nice hops bite. real good beer for a hop lover like myself, summer style, wheat core, nice refreshing lemon peel, and snapped with hops, real session beer.

12 oz bottle purchased at Oak Tree. Wow was this a nice suprise. Every wheat beer I have tried lately all seems the same so I had low expectations of this beer. Poured a thin looking golden copper color, darker then I was expecting, with a small white head, smaller then what I was expecting. Aroma was lots of hops with the wheat only faint in the background......very interesting. Flavor was very similar a large hop bite up front and a nice fade into wheat. Sure glad I tried this one because I will surely purchase again. Thanks to Jay from OTBR for reccomending this one.

(Bottle) Pours a lightly hazy yellow body with a medium white head. Refreshing aroma of orange, apricot, and florals. Flavor of floral hops, toasted malt, and a zest of lemon.
