Commercial Description:
Pour Hop Sun Summer Wheat Beer into a pint glass, give it a long whiff and you'll realize that this isn't your average wheat beer. Filtered to a golden clarity and dry-hopped to perfection, Hop Sun is a fantastic session ale in which flavors of wheat, barley and hops co-mingle to a refreshing and zesty conclusion. Hints of lemon and sweet malts waft to the fore as a touch of bitterness contributes to Hop Sun's bright finish. Enjoy Hop Sun all summer long as a perfect balance to your outdoor recreation. Summer never tasted so good.

Bottle. Golden color, weak head. Citrus and grapefruit in the aroma. Strong citrus and grapefruit flavor with some wheat. Fruity-hoppy, grapefruity, citrusy and bitter finish.

bottle thanks to sliffy! a clear effervescent pilsener color with not much head despite all the bubbles. cascade-like aroma, but with some starchy citrus (orange) as well. not much yeastiness, but smells a bit sweet as well (like an american pale ale made with wheat malt), as i would expect from an american wheat beer. surprisingly hoppy, again with more clean cascade characteristics - citrus, grapefruit and lemongrass, and more bitterness than expected from a wheat. the only thing "wheat" about this beer is the wheat malt, nothing to do with the yeast which i suspect is a neutral american pale variety - however, it’s light enough with enough bite and flavor to make it enjoyable. (actually would be a better APA than american wheat beer!)

This wheat beer pours a yellow gold color from a 12oz bottle. Medium sized white foamy head. Aroma is wheaty and citrusy. Lemons and lemongrass and some hops. A medium bodied wheat. Malts are wheaty and grassy. Hops are citrusy and grapefruity. Aggressively hopped for a wheat beer. Not much of the banana and clove flavor, more orange and lemon. Definitely crisp and clean tasting. Light and refreshing. Interesting, a hoppy wheat beer, would make a great summer thirst quencher. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Bottle courtesy of shadey. Clear orangish/golden with minimal head. Aroma is very APA like almost no wheat detectable. Citrus zest, sweetness in the background is more caramel than wheat to me. Flavor much the same, nice grapefruit/orange zest kick with some residuel sweetness. Nice beer, just hop aspect is saving it, as it really has no wheat characteristics whatsoever.

not bad for a summer beer...copper body with medium white head...aroma is of grapefruit and floral hops, and is very light in wheat...flavor is that of a pale, nice and hoppy with a bitter floral hop finish...

Bottle: Clear copper/orange pour, with a small white head. Aroma has citrusy hops and a bit of wheat in the back ground. Flavor is a crisp and clean, some floral and citrus notes. A little bready on the tail end that leads to a nice tingly bitter finish. Very drinkable, and enough hops to satisfy my cravings.

This beer does pour in a glass with a big foam. I must mention that this was a 2005 brew....a little old. The aroma was very sweet....grapes maybe? Definitely a hoppy beer but with fruit accents. As others mentioned, the best Southern Tier beer you can get. Very highly recommended!!!!

There is a spicey aroma and the pour is a clear golden with a decent white head. The flavor is moderatly hoppish with notes of spice.
