scraff (1662), Baltimore, Maryland, USA Jul 15, 2008 Gold, thin white fizzy head. Nose held a sweet citrus and floral wheat-like tone. Light hoppy citrus flavors ride a clean earthy wheat note from start to finish. Light bodied, soft carbonation, crisp, light bitter finish. A good summer session brew as it is what it is...
mgumby10 (1641), West Palm Beach, Florida, USA Sep 6, 2008 Pours a lightly hazy gold orange with a medium, foamy white head. Smells more on the fruity side. Got some pineapple, orange citrus, with minimal wheat and hop characters. The flavors are big on the carbonation, lots of fizzy citrus with more of the hops coming out balancing the citrus a bit. Perhaps a bit overcarbonated and lacking any real complexity. Just a drinkable, yet unimpressive conglomerate of different ingredients mixed together with no real plan. mistersinalin (272), St. Paul, Minnesota, USA Sep 5, 2008 A really interesting mix - a bit like a hop soda with a smooth wheaty finish. I like this for next summer as we are probably out by now for this year. I could do a lot of yard work if i knew I had some of these cold in the fridge. Beerlando (1271), Orlando, Florida, USA Sep 3, 2008 Pours a very lightly hazy golden-straw color with a quick, foamy, off-white head. Virtually no lacing noted. The aroma shows notes of fresh wheat and dry cereal grains, lightly sweet pale malts, and citrus hop notes of lemon and orange. Flavors are basically the same. Light and crisp grainy notes meet subtle, zesty citrus hops. The palate is light in body and a touch over carbonated, which is perhaps what they were going for in this sessionable summertime brew. Overall, pretty decent for a hot summer’s day, but nothing more. theisti (1045), Leawood, Kansas, USA Aug 25, 2008 12 oz bottle given to me by csbosox. Pour is slightly hazed golden with a smallish white head. Almost no carbonation visible. Aroma of fresh wheat, hay, and sweet floral hops. Nice fresh and clean nose. Taste is the nose, though primarily diluted wheat, with soft sweet floral hop bitterness in the back. Some faint lemon citrus. Nice, though I was expecting more from the nose. Palate is on thin side, though didn’t detract too much. Nice clean quaffable summer beer. Thanks for giving me this one Chris! Beerman6686 (724), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 23, 2008 Poured a hazy light orange color with a white head. Aroma was of some zesty wheat, light lemon and some citrus hops. Flavor was a bit disappointing considering the taste very bland and not comparable to gumball head like i was told.
