Commercial Description:
We craft this much like a sculptor who uses only a hammer and chisel to shape stone into a masterpiece. Hoppe is spawned of these few essentials: barley, wheat, hops, yeast and water. This limited palette is an exercise in minimalism, with refined elements which are deliberately selected. This simple combination creates a golden shimmering brew infused with delicate aromas. The artful nature of this beer is exposed with the first taste. As the malt and hops created a composition of flavors, and elegant finish leaves an impression that your tastes will not soon forget. Don't be deceived by th innocence of Hoppe. Please enjoy in moderation.

22oz Bottle: Pours a clear golden with a solid white head that lingers.Aroma is sweet with only a few hops present. The taste is very nice albeit a bit sweet. the mouthfeel is medium with a little resin. Overall a good beer but not as Hoppy as I expected.

22 oz. bottle at Flat Rock Saloon. Poured dark gold with fizzy white head. Decent lacing. Lots of citrus goodness present. On the thin side and lacking malt. Hmm, american strong ale or imperial extra pale ale as the label says?

Copper apricot...small head. Aroma of caramel and orange zest. Rich flavors of pale malts, citrus hops, candy sugar, cinnamon, tea, honey, floral hops, citrus-orange zest.

Nice bouquet of floral hops. Big sweet malty aroma (not exactly what I’m looking for) Heavy even. Medium-full bitterness. Clean, with full fruity hopdriven finish. Lighter than expected from the aroma, but still heavy, even it comes across as fairly dry.

Pale orange-amber beer with small, off-white head. Wet dog, rainwater, faint flowery, hops, and a faint brandy aroma. Sweetish, but with a hoppy flavour; stale cookies in the background. Medium bodied, alcohol obvious. Quite neutral beer. Good balance, but that being the best that I can state about it. The wheat keeps hidden. Thanks, CK!

Bottle: Pale golden in color with a large, creamy off-white head. The aroma has a warm and sweet quality from the citrus and caramel notes. Fruity. Taste is smooth, yet seemingly malt oriented. Again, caramel and fruity notes. Light florals and some soapyness in the lightly bitter trailer. I had more hops in mind here...

Bottle. Pretty gold pour with a sturdy, fluffy white head. Aroma is exactly how you’d expect it to smell. Luscious fresh hops, citrus oils, resinous conifers, orange peel and caramel. Taste is rich hop oils, citrus peel, grapefruit, caramel, chewy malt, pine needles, and spicy hops. It simply melts in your mouth. Rather full bodied for a pale ale, but not full bodied like an imperial stout. Tingling, prickly carbonation. Slick and oily with a lingering bitterness. There’s more hops, flowery notes, pine sap, citrus oils, orange peel, toffee and grapefruit juice during the finish. This has me wanting to drink more, though it’s far from a session type beer. Yummy either way!
