Feb 1, 2008 This bottled brew from a JSquire at rating party poured a small sized head of foamy finely sized white colored bubbles that were mostly lasting and left behind a hazy orange brown colored body and a good lacing. The mild aroma was hoppy floral and malty. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and strongly tingly at the finish. The strong flavor contained notes of hops. Delicious and one I would certainly like to have again.

Jan 30, 2008 Perfectly clear gold, almost shockingly clear in fact. Nice head throws a significantly well formed lace, presumably from the wheat. Pleasant citric hop nose, lemon, grapefruit, orange zest. Flavor is lightly biscuity malt, very light in fact, the faintest touch of honey, and then a load of pine and tropical fruit hops. Honestly never had anything quite like this, and I enjoyed it immensely. Good stuff. The 10% is totally masked. Very happy to see this show up in Richmond, VA.

Pour appearance is hazy golden orange witha thinner head with good lacing. Perfumy aroma of apricot, pear, and mango as well as biscuit. Flavor is yeasty, bready while the finish is smooth. Qualities that I’ve noticed in Rogue brews, but better than their signature pacman yeast. There is a medicinal quality that slightly detracts from complete enjoyment of this brew. All in all, still pretty decent. At first, I didn’t notice the ABV, but after multiple sips it makes its way through.

Jan 28, 2008 Hazy golden-amber colour. Rich, resiny hop aroma is bright and appetizing. Really rich citrus, pine, resin. The pale malt signature is robust but simple breads. The alcohol comes in late to mix with some of the resin. All the same, I love both these hops but get the sense they probably don’t belong in the same beer together.

Jan 28, 2008 22oz. Bottle: Aroma of caramel malts and hops with notes of lychee, resin, and grapefruit. Poured gold/yellow/urine/apple juice in color with a medium-sized, foamy, off-white head that lasted throughout. Excellent lacing. Clear. Medium sweet, lightly bitter flavor. Tastes of caramel malts, hops, lychee, lemon, and alcohol. Medium body. Thin, oily texture. Average carbonation. Sweet, resinous finish.

Jan 25, 2008 22oz bottle, as soon as i popped the top i cought a nice wiff of a great hop aroma, i poured it into my glass expecting it to be much darker but suprisingly its a nice clear dark golden, great mouthfeel and hop/malt balance, not overpowering, i liked this one, good beer here.

Jan 23, 2008 22oz bomber. pours clear and golden with small head. aroma is sweet with slight grassy hops and a hint of alcohol. mouthful has big malty backbone with sticky hops that have a mild finish. the alcohol kicks in the finish after it warms.

Jan 23, 2008 Courtesy TBC. Clear copper. Small white head. Big juicy hop aroma- resinous, lightly spicy tangerines and grapefruits backed by some pale malt sweetness. I love amarillo hops. Same flavors. Nice showcase for these two hops. Medium/full body, balanced carbonation, a little sticky, very drinkable for the abv. I would have loved to taste this the day it was bottled.
