| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 3, 2009 Dark IPA is a strange new trend but this is probably a favorite of the genre. This poured a dark brown to black color. The aroma contains some chocolate, caramel. citrus, and dark fruit. The flavor contains some oranges, raisins, caramel, chocolate. The finish is malty, then sour, then bitter. All over the board. Overall a pretty good and interesting beer. NJBeerman013 (785), Trenton, New Jersey, USA

Flavors are true to the aroma with piney earthiness. Little bit sweeter as it warms. Finish is hoppy, but sweet. Tasty take on a favorite style. DerWeg (782), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 1, 2009 It’s Southern tier IPA with some added rich toffee-like and cocoa notes and complex fruit tones, fantastic! Pours a good solid dark brown with gold-brown highlights and a bit of head, medium fine carbonation. Smells of sticky malts and light piney hops. Tastes of all the above, with the piney hops setting off the cocoa demerera and toffee brown-ale character. A welcome style challenge. LtJudge (434), Muskego, Wisconsin, USA

(to me it almost had a cola like aroma)Taste is of a wonderful balance of those malts and hops, with the piney hop really peaking out in the end.Great bitter finish as well. What a great brew! | 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jun 30, 2009 4/30/2009: Southern Tier Iniquity is dark brown in color topped by a frothy tan head and beautiful lacing. Overall its appearance is quite pretty. It has a damn nice aroma that is hoppy and fresh with a lots of orange-chocolate in it. The flavor has a really nice, caramelized maltiness without being overly sweet. The great citrus and pine hoppiness stick throughout. This beer is big, thick, smooth, and creamy. Actually, it is almost syrupy, but it is so good. Overall, Iniquity is a FANTASTIC beer!
