Commercial Description:
IPA stands for India Pale Ale and ours is an American version of the classic style. IPA’s namesake lies in its colonial roots. British soldiers on their way to India dark a lot of beer, but found it would go stale on the long voyages. Meanwhile, brewers knew that by adding more hops, the beer would stay fresh. Voila! A new style was born and it is one we are proud to brew. Southern Tier IPA is a triple-hopped on its journey to your glass for a fully aromatic experience.

Bottle. Pours translucent amber with a flocculent white head that subsides quickly leaving modest lacing. Aroma is mellifluous, pine resin, sweet citrus, apple, slightly biscuit, and perhaps some Vienna malt. Flavor is honey, orange, pine resin, grapefruit, slight malty kick after the bitterness. Pretty good actually.

Bottle. clear deep orange, large thick white vanilla head. strong aroma, nicely hoppy, pine, grapefruit. flavor is pine, grapefruit, sugar, good balance between grapefruity bitter hops, and malty sweetness. quite dry. ends as it tastes. overall a very tasty, mild and drinkable ipa, yet still some punch in the hops.

A beer fromt he 12 pack mix. Golden orange color leeding to a thin white head. Citrus, lime and damp daisy smell is fairly pleasent. for the taste i get little more than some grassy bitterness. very lasting bitter finish. Nice to see just a good solid IPA that does not try to reach to far as is common in our double and imperial world

Dark golden with a small white head. Juicy American hop aroma with grapefruit and tangerine, some pine and an obvious dry hop grassy note. Clearly some biscuit-y and caramelly malt in the background. Flavour has a bit of that malt and some sweetness, and lots of hops. Grassy notes and a good bitterness.

Bottle. Orange blonde color. pineapple, grapefruit and oily and flowery hops in the aroma. Firm oily, slightly perfumed hopbitter flavor with pineapple. Leather in the finish. Malty sweetish. Loads of flavor, but the balance could be better.

A very hoppy IPA, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. It pours a nice golden hue with a very limited head. There’s a distinct hoppy bitterness in the taste, but for IPA lovers, it’s a true joy. Definitely pick this one up if you love a good hoppy IPA!
