Commercial Description:
IPA stands for India Pale Ale and ours is an American version of the classic style. IPA’s namesake lies in its colonial roots. British soldiers on their way to India dark a lot of beer, but found it would go stale on the long voyages. Meanwhile, brewers knew that by adding more hops, the beer would stay fresh. Voila! A new style was born and it is one we are proud to brew. Southern Tier IPA is a triple-hopped on its journey to your glass for a fully aromatic experience.

Tydeligt filtreret. Smagen er sjovt nok igen over i en "makro" feel. Håber sandelig at de store øl er bedre.

bottle 12 fl. oz - new design on the label. Pour a dark amber with disappearing white head. The nose is hoppy and ill bet there is some nelson in this one. A little bit of fart in it too. The palate is heavy and creamy packed with hops - flower-dust, rust and oily nectar. Bitter-sweet finish with a nice mouthfeel.

Bottle at home. Clear amber coloured with a small white head. Fruity aroma of caramel and grass with notes of peaches and hops. Fruity flavour of grass, hops and grape fruits. Dry hoppy finish. Lacks some aroma hops.

Pours slightly hazy, a tea-like color into the glass, with a light foam that reduces to a thin ring of soap. The nose is of a nice woody hop. The flavors are of malt, some citrus, and a pine hop to close. This is extremely well-integrated, and nothing is overt. Mouthfeel could stand to be just a shade fuller, but it doesn’t detract from the overall pull. All in all, it’s pretty solid.

12 oz, bottle. Pours a clear orange-copper color with an thin foamy off-white head. Decent lacing. The aroma is light grapefruit, pine, and grass. Initial flavor is a balanced malty sweetness with a fairly pronounced grapefruity hop note. Medium body. Soft carbonation. Short, dry, slightly bitter finish.

Pours a golden copper, creamy off-white head with excellent lacing. Aroma is hoppy, pine and a little citrus. The flavor is hops, bitter, pine, grapefruit, lasting on the tongue. A decent IPA.

Great grassy, citrus hopping with a real nice bitter finish but there’s a little something missing here which keeps this from being one of the great A.P.A.s. I hate to say this but it’s a little too focused on the hops without quite enough backbone. Still worth trying. A few times.
