Has a nice frothy head, amber colour. This bottle is fragrant: floral aromas in the hops, orange zest, bread. Mouthfeel is medium, pleasant. Tastes fresh. Flavour starts with apricot, peach and grapefruit, then there is hop bitterness, biscuit, toffee, then a bitter finish. mgumby10 (1858), Jupiter, Florida, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 6, 2008 Pours a lightly hazy copper color, with a small off white head. Smells of some musty hops, a little bit of cinnamon, hop bitterness, and caramel malt. Tastes maybe a little bit past its prime becuase the hops didnt seem as sharp in the flavor. The bitterness is pretty powerful on the palate. The flavor is mostly caramel and some juicy jops, with a big malt presence. A little bit disappointing, but I dont think I caught this at its freshest state. halfonit (479), Fall River, Massachusetts, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 3, 2008 Pours a clear, medium orange-amber color with a quick, foamy, off-white head. Some nice, sticky swaths of lacing mark the glass. The aroma is pretty nice, showing lightly toasted bready notes and toffee malts, with a significant orange and grapefruit hop bite. Flavors follow suit, a serious dose of citrus hops providing the bitter bite needed to cut through the toffee malts. Good balance. Highly drinkable. Medium bodied with balanced carbonation. This is a very solid IPA for sure. I’ve come to expect nothing less from Southern Tier. MrStitch (138), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 3, 2008 Bottle. Pours a hazy orange gold with an off white bubbly 2 finger head that leaves some lacing. Smell is all hops, mainly pine but some citurs and floral hops smells mixed in there too. Taste is very nice... again mainly hops but some light malt tones mixed in for good measure. Mouthfeel is clean and dry. A very good IPA that I will drink more of. Could smell it after I popped the cap. Strong pine and citrus hops. Pour was a nice medium gold with a one finger white head. Taste was pine and citrus hops with nice carbonation and a grassy and bitter dry aftertaste. Can’t believe I missed this one!
