Commercial Description:
IPA stands for India Pale Ale and ours is an American version of the classic style. IPA’s namesake lies in its colonial roots. British soldiers on their way to India dark a lot of beer, but found it would go stale on the long voyages. Meanwhile, brewers knew that by adding more hops, the beer would stay fresh. Voila! A new style was born and it is one we are proud to brew. Southern Tier IPA is a triple-hopped on its journey to your glass for a fully aromatic experience.

Bottle, 12oz. A clear golden body with a minimal off-white head sitting on top. Hop-dominated nose with resin, pine cones and grapefruit. The flavor has a nice bitterness as well as the resiny, grapefruity elements found in the aroma. Wonderful bitterness in the finish. Full body. A quenching, easy drinkable beer. 090828

12 oz. bottle, served in tulip. Clear amber with rocky white head and moderate lacing. Aroma of pine and grapefruit. Light-medium body, dry with good carbonation. Bitter hops dominate through to long hop finish. This bottle was quite fresh and crisp. A good example overall, but could use some more malt and a bit more in the body.

NICE FOAMY HEAD AND WONDERFULL SWEET AROMA ON THIS ONE. TASTES LIKE A TRADITIONAL MODERN MICRO BREWED IPA WITH ITS SWEET YET BITTER CITRUS AND PINE FLAVORS GOES DOWN EASY AND PAIRS WELL WITH GRILLED FISH, RICE AND CRISP VEGGIES. A LITTLE ON THE LIGHT SIDE FOR MY LIKINGS BUT STILL A GOOD IPA FROM A GREAT BREWER.

Pours a staw and slightly hazy color. Small white head that left some good lacing. Aroma is earthy and a little hoppy. Bitterness all the way through the flavor. Good hop flavor. Finishes a little tart.

Bottle, pours a hazy orange. Aroma, lots of hops citrus, fruity sweetness and floral. Taste, lots of grapefruit and pine. Good initial tongue tingle and dry finish. Nice solid beer just seems to be missing a little something.

A: Pours nice golden orange color with fluffy head. There is a nice steady stream of bubbles that leave behind wonderful lacing. S: Nice floral aroma, with undertones of pine. T: Starts off with a nice grassy taste with a bite of citrus. It finishes with a piney sweetness. M: Medium bodied and refreshing.

This IPA poured a slightly cloudy dark orange colour with a quick living head. To the nose there are scents of spruce, citrus, and bread. first sip was smooth with s thick mouthfeel. Flavours of hopps and citrus, most prodominant. Finish is bitter with hopp flavour lingering.
