12oz brown glass pry-top. No date stamp.
Appearance: Poured into a chalice turns up .5 inch of bleach white head that fades but laces the glass and veils the surface of the beer. A yellow amber color and somewhat hazy.
Nose: Yellow grapefruit, apricot and stick sweet buds. Some munich-like malt aromas.
Palate: Crisp right up front with aggressive hop acidity and bitterness. As the bitterness releases the taste buds there’s a wave of fruitiness like a Real Ale, plus grapefruit and dried driftwood (salty wood). Medium bodied with creamy carbonation. Malt shows up mostly as sugar.
Notes: A solid East Coast IPA. Has what I call a sugar center underneath the hop bitterness. Bitter, but not dry or drying. Highly recommend for an "affordable" 6 pack IPA.

Dec 1, 2009 Pale golden pour light head and just a little lacing ... hoppy citrus and piney aroma little bit of sweet malt on the nose as well .... a hint of sweet malt and then all citrus hop and resin flavor finishes with a little hop spice and a dry aftertaste .... a solid ipa

Nov 28, 2009 12oz bottle from Chevy Chase in DC. Triple-hopped, huh? Just like Miller Lite! Pours a clear golden color with a medium-sized white head and some lacing. Aroma is sweet pale malt, grain, floral and citrus hops. Flavor is a little grainy and sweet with lots of pale malt and some citrusy hops. Medium body with lively carbonation and some hop resins on the palate.

aroma is floral and citrus hop with some caramel maltiness.
Flavour is nice medium malt, caramel and some breadiness.
Herbal and grapefruit hop flavour.
very solid IPA.

smooth piney taste, sage, bitter herbs, straight up tastes like hops, that kind of almost cannabis taste, alcohol kind of shines through. medium bodied, nice and smooth. damn good. need to get it again

Nov 19, 2009 Pours a bright, clear, yellowish copper from the 12oz. bottle: Nose of citrusy, grassy hops. Taste is similar with more of a malted balance than an overload of hops. I live for that severe overload. Lightly carbonated and bodied, this ale unfortunately feels a little lackluster. Drinkability: A vibrant and solid IPA, but may fall short to hopheads. Rebuy: I mean, it’s SoTi and an IPA! Of course I’m buying again. #201 on 19112009, DG.

Nov 15, 2009 THOUGHTS: Better balanced than the new Pale Ale., but still a little hop heavy. Not very memorable, but nice.
TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a light to medium orange with an average, ever so slightly, off-white head that mostly diminished, but somehow left excellent lacing. The aroma was nice, but a little weak. There was moderate, caramel malt, lighter candied fruit and moderate to heavy orangey hops and lighter resinous hops. The initial flavor was sweet and lightly bitter; while the finish was sweeter and rather bitter with a long duration. There was orangey citrus hops, candied fruit, pine hops and caramel. The light to medium body was a little syrupy and then slightly dry with lightly fizzy carbonation and a slightly chalky and lightly metallic finish.

Nov 13, 2009 On draft at Isaac Newtons. Pours a golden amber color. Cascade dominates the aroma as well as the flavor. Pretty good IPA but there is definitely better.
