| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Dec 5, 2009 This is a very solid IPA. For a while I’d heard about the wildness of the Southern Tiers and I finally found some, and certainly they did not disappoint. This is unique in the world of IPAs, pretty subdued on the hops and a very "wet" flavor, but masks the substantial abv% quite well. It reminds me of Sierra Nevada Torpedo; but less hopped and better balanced. The smell is wonderful, piney-sweetish and slightly citrusy. Appearance and mouth are run-of-the-mill for IPAs. Very sessionable (most IPAs are to me but this one more than most). I will drink the bejesus out of this brew for as long as I can get it. italianjohn (388), Bensalem, Pennsylvania, USA
