| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 13, 2008 Coffee and lots of sugar in the aroma. Thick and heavy. 22 oz is far too much of this rich beer. Lots of sugar in the flavor with more coffee. A good coffee imperial stout. GAManiac (1175), Atlanta, Georgia, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 10, 2008 Bottle from beerbill. Poured dark, dark brown into a tulip with a fairly small off-white head that receded quickly to a collar leaving a little lacing. Sweet malts and roasted coffee dominate the nose with vanilla and dark fruits in the background. A hint of alcohol is evident in the aroma as well. The taste starts with semisweet chocolate and sweet malts before giving way to the coffee flavor which lingers through the finish with a slight bitterness. The mouthfeel is full-bodied with little carbonation and provides a sticky coating of malts on the palate. travita (1926), Frisco, Texas, USA

Smell is coffe, fresh ground coffee, chocolate, and dark roasted malts. Taste is coffee, chocolate, and dark roastiness. Good. wilderthanyou (418), Guelph, Ontario, Canada

Aroma is strong roasted coffee, vanilla, burnt sugar, chocolate, and dark malts. Flavour is spot on, big dark roast coffee flavours, bit of black licorice, lots of chocolate, caramel, a bit of sweet alcohol. The palate is creamy and warm from the alcohol, perfect mouthfeel. The best coffee stout ive had so far. top notch.
