Commercial Description:
Three thousand feet above sea level in the misty mountains of Jamaica, some of the worlds finest Arabica beans are hand picked on their way to becoming Blue Mountain Coffee. Halfway around the world, plump spring barley grows to maturity in the loamy soil of North America while aromatic hops are cutivated to exacting standards. Here in our kettles, these three special ingredients are blended to create a heady mixture of sweet sugar, dark roast, and complex flavor. Please enjoy this brew in moderation.

Pours a two finger light tan head that fades slowly to a thin layer leaving a good lace. Totally black color. Light carbonation and medium-heavy bodied. Coffee nose. Flavor is sweet roasted coffee and some chocolate. High ABV is hidden. Nice imperial stout for my 2500th bottle. $8.95 for a 22oz bottle from Colonial Spirits Acton, Ma.

Bottle. Pours a rich creamy black. Good malt flavors, and some carmel. Not the coffee flavors I would expect from a Southern Tier beer named jah-va. Different hints of cream and chocolate. Tasty!

Bottle, shared w/ and compliments of danielcurtis81. Great coffee and chocolate taste. Lots of sweetness; relatively thick. Some roastiness that adds wonderful character to this exceptional treat.

Coffee and lots of sugar in the aroma. Thick and heavy. 22 oz is far too much of this rich beer. Lots of sugar in the flavor with more coffee. A good coffee imperial stout.

Bottle from beerbill. Poured dark, dark brown into a tulip with a fairly small off-white head that receded quickly to a collar leaving a little lacing. Sweet malts and roasted coffee dominate the nose with vanilla and dark fruits in the background. A hint of alcohol is evident in the aroma as well. The taste starts with semisweet chocolate and sweet malts before giving way to the coffee flavor which lingers through the finish with a slight bitterness. The mouthfeel is full-bodied with little carbonation and provides a sticky coating of malts on the palate.

Black with some brown in the color would be clear and a smallish tan head. Smell is coffe, fresh ground coffee, chocolate, and dark roasted malts. Taste is coffee, chocolate, and dark roastiness. Good.

Pours a pitch black with a thin creamy tan head that leaves behind moderate lacing. Aroma is strong roasted coffee, vanilla, burnt sugar, chocolate, and dark malts. Flavour is spot on, big dark roast coffee flavours, bit of black licorice, lots of chocolate, caramel, a bit of sweet alcohol. The palate is creamy and warm from the alcohol, perfect mouthfeel. The best coffee stout ive had so far. top notch.
