Commercial Description:
Three thousand feet above sea level in the misty mountains of Jamaica, some of the worlds finest Arabica beans are hand picked on their way to becoming Blue Mountain Coffee. Halfway around the world, plump spring barley grows to maturity in the loamy soil of North America while aromatic hops are cutivated to exacting standards. Here in our kettles, these three special ingredients are blended to create a heady mixture of sweet sugar, dark roast, and complex flavor. Please enjoy this brew in moderation.

22oz bottle. A black pour with a medium sized tan head. Bursting with chocolate and coffee aromas with some toasted malt. The 12% is hidden quite well, full bodied, highly recommended!

Pours thick black, small brown head. Strong flavor hits you, then a bitter finish. Definitely a complex stout, and while the flavor wasn’t totally my bag, it’s an interesting and worthy stout.

Very much enjoyed this. Tremendous aroma of coffee and some cocoa. Pours jet black with a small, but lingering dark tan head. Lots of malt and feels heavy, almost oily. The coffee really smooths this out, without it become a coffee drink. It is still very much an imperial stout..

500ml. Pitch black color with a very minimal head. Delicate and enticing chocolaty sweet aroma. The big 12% alcohol seems to take away from some of the coffee subtleties. This is quite an excellent beer, one of the stronger enjoyable Imperial Stouts. Has a great mouthfeel to it. Well done. Had to bring it down a few points by the end of the bottle...alcohol level ends up being a tad excessive.

bomber thanks to someone off BA site. This pours black with a beautiful brown head which lingered to give great lacing. The nose was full of roast coffee. Very nice coffee at that! No cheap blend here. The taste was of coffee, of course, but also a rich chocolate. Delicious! The mouthfeel was medium with some alcohol and chalkiness. This was a very, very nice Impy stout. Loved it. Would like to get my hands on another.

22oz bottle. Vertical 2005 vs. 2008. Pours dark espresso black, brown head. Aroma is big coffee. Flavor is heavy sticky sweet malt. Lots of roast, long lingering coffee flavors. Ages superbly. Very heavy bodied. This is a big full flavored beer. Very impressed.

Bomber. Pours thick and dark with a medium brown head. Aroma of caramel, raisins, cocoa, and malty sweetness. Rich flavor of coffee and chocolate along with roasted malts, ending in a bitter espresso finish that lingers. Thick and big, but hides the alcohol well. Delicious beer.

Bomber from Wine Specialist. Brown/black color with a moderate tan head. Aroma of coffee and treacle. Full bodied with creamy carbonation. Flavor is coffee to the extreme with dark toasted malt and treacle. The finish is sweet, but balanced with toasted, burnt malt. I can’t integrate the hop, but it seems to be there to help with the balance. Drink this and die (i.e., see Naples and die).
