Small tan head that forms after a few seconds. Amazing. Nose is minor coffee with an extremely full fragrance of dark chocolate. I could take a whiff of this one for hours on end. If it is as good on the flavor as it has been to now, this might just be one to remember. Flavor. Oh my. Hearty like you don’t even know. Massive malts. Molasses is there too. Just a thick funky presenting…I mean, hello! Feel is thick on the liquid but smooth. On the carbonation it is a bit thin, but just right I think. What? Could it be? Another perffect score beer? Man. This is what I love. I am just sitting here, and I decide to have one more beer before I pass out for the night, and what do you know; a perfect scored beer. If you haven’t tried this beer and you willingly pass it up, I have to say I have to question my respect for you. This is a beer that is crafted so well, it absolutely must be tried. I can’t believe I waited so long to try it myself. Acknud (784), Morganfield, Kentucky, USA

Pours super dark and has a very potent coffee odor on the nose. This is my favorite stout from southern tier, even over the oat. The powerful coffee flavor makes this a winner in my book. Very highly recommened. Thanks ST!! seandwyer (10), USA
| 4.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 20/20 | Jul 22, 2007 22 oz. Oil like pour. Small, dark brown, surface head on top of a black pour. Nose screams coffee. Not a coffee drinker myself but for reason i’ve fallen for these beers. On the taste you can tell it’s at 12%. Put the keys down because you’re going to want more of this beer. A lot of rasberry, slight almond, and a heap load of happiness. I want to swim in this beer.
Best imperial stout so far. adrian910ss (1425), philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA

Pours a thick motor oil black color with a slow developing creamy beige head. Aroma is of the FRESHEST Coffee beans around, like opening up a new can of java. Sweet thick creamy columbian coffee taste. Very complex, yet very very good. One of the best coffee stouts ive had. drseamus (103), Troy, New York, USA
| 4.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 19/20 | Dec 24, 2007 I finally found this beer after searching for ever it seems. It pours jet black with a thick 3 finger dark mocha colored head. It smells of dark roasted malt, coffee, and chocolate. The taste is perfect. There is plenty of roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, and caramel in there. The body is nice and full and extremely creamy. The bitterness is surprisingly low for so much chocolate and roasted malt flavor. I bought every bottle the store had, but I’m gonna have to go back and find more to buy. The only hit to drinkability is the whopping 12% ABV. zach8270 (2121), Henrietta, New York, USA

Aroma is loaded with freshly brewed coffee, roasted malts and some fruits. Smells so inviting, and the alcohol is well hidden. Flavor begins with a blast of coffee and then gives way to a roasty middle with a nice roasty malt finish. Very thick and creamy and the alcohol is not detectable at all. Very delicious.
