Aroma: Strong alcohol and malt aroma.
Appearance: Dark Orange in color, cloudy with a thin head.
Flavor: Very tasty wheat malt lager brew. With a nice addition of hops and some caramel backing
Palate: Dry finish, with a good Mouthfeel.
Overall: This was a good beer not my all time fav but I would drink if I needed to.

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Apr 1, 2009 Bomber. Poured fiery medium orange with a creamy, sticky, well-retained cap of eggshell head.. just lovely. The aroma picked pineapple and floral hoppage along with a huge dose of juniper berries.. bready and caramel backing deeper down.. gin and spice on the aggressive back. The flavor and palate toed the line of unpleasant harshness with pervasive bitterness, juniper branches, and mint all over the place.. the bready backing was secondary.. the bitterness did manage to keep the alcohol in check until after the swallow (unfortunately the combo stuck for a long while on residual sugars at the finish, and it wasn’t enjoyable). Medium-plus bodied with higher carbonation.. the bitterness and juniper were too much here. Merrill (77), Chicago, Illinois, USA

Lime, Gin, coriander. Very bright aroma. Pours amber with off-white head and spotty fast lace.Flavor strong sour lime with bitter overall. Grapefruit comes to mind. This beer is rough and bold. The finish is odd and complicated. I like it! hiddenvariable (194), pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Mar 27, 2009 pours a cloudy brownish amber, with a reasonable off-white head that slowly fades to a ring and leaves some nice lacing. great bready malt smell, with a big spicy earthy hop smell, and a hint of citrus. really solid bready malt, with a note of a sort of crystal malt, and some more spicy earthy cotton candy. does that make sense? it’s good. it reminds me a bit of sam imperial pilsner but with a bit less citrus to the hops, and a bit more emphasis on the malt. really good bitter finish. i’ve been sick of hoppy and bitter beers for a while now, but this one is probably right at my threshold. it’s very pleasantly bitter, with no harshness whatsoever, and a hint of sweet maltiness balancing it perfectly. tons of carbonation give the resinous mouthfeel a bit of a creamy feel. this is good stuff. still love southern tier. Some copper, light, orange and lemon flavors with hints of raisin and butterrum. Some spice, kind of liek ginger and anise and maybe some white pepper.
