Commercial Description:
Our flagship Mild Ale is a medium-bodied beer with a light amber hue and slightly sweet undertones of malted barley. The secret to Mild Ale’s drinkability is in its balance. In other words, it has just the right amount of malt, hops, body and alcohol content. It deserves to be imbibed often. Whether you’re enjoying a fine meal, or just kicking back with a few friends, Mild Ale is the perfect choice.

Even this beer's name didn't really attract me, but I know southern tier is a great brewery, so I tried it. It pours a nice dark amber. The taste is dominated by sweet malt, little hops to balance. Drinkable, but not my type of beer.

Poured a clear orange/amber with a small white head. Lightly malty nose, with some american hops present. flavor is nicely balanced, with toasty/sweet malts backed with just enough hops. good, easy drinking amber ale-like a smooth boont amber.

Dull hazy golden beer with a slight malty nose. Nice cooky malt with a nice little hopyness with just a twinge of lemon. The malt is slightly caramelized,,,nice beer but everything is a bit too restrained...medium body

Pours a clear amber/copper color with a thin off-white head. This is a light-bodied ale with earthy hops and toasty/nutty malts. Somewhat bitter. A decent session ale that shouldn't offend anyone. Thanks Dan (jah noth) for the bottle.

Slight sweet malt, a bit of earthy hops. Golden with a thin head. A kind of watered down toasted malt flavor, some grassy hops in the finish.

Nice beer. Had it last night on tap in Busti, NY. Nice, golden/amber color, small head. Faint alcohol smell, not too much. Taste... very interesting. A bit bitter and dry, slightly peppery almost. Finished nice and smooth. Definitely drinkable, but was more expensive than other beers, and I was running low on cash, so I only had one for the tasting value. It was worth it.

(Bottle) Pours a thin, white head and a deep amber body. Nose of malt and ever-so-slight sour milk. Mild malt flavour that has a twist of sourness to it. Average.

A very nice Mild Ale - and seemingly true to style. The last Mild Ale I had was Victory's Mild, which was like drinking dishwater, so this is a definite improvement. This looks just like an Amber Ale, but the taste is significantly less astringent or bitter than a Bitter or Vienna. How malty is it, just enough that you know you're drinking an ale and not a wimpy lager. Good job.
