Both the nose and flavor were both sweet and syrupy with a dominant chocolate presence. Way too sweet for me and lacking in complexity though I can see how some people would really love it. badgerben (3605), Blaine, Minnesota, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Aug 1, 2009 Black color with no head. Interesting aroma of cocoa, light coffee and a really strong sweet... something... The taste is like sugary candy. Sugar Daddies or Tootsie Rolls. Eventually, some roasted malts, chocolate and very light coffee come out. Way the heck to sweet. This from someone who thinks their Creme Brulee is divine. fata2683 (932), Panama City, Florida, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 1, 2009 bottle, pours black no head. Aroma is all chocolate, like nestle quick. Flavor is a tad of roasted malt and the rest all sweet milk chocolate. Tons of yoohoo flavors going on, little bitterness. More of a sweet stout than imperial, except for the well masked alcohol. | 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jul 31, 2009 This was just crazy. I had this beer on tap at Sunswick in Queens, NYC. Beer was big and delicious. Color was pure dark brown. The rich chocolate and coffee aroma permeated the medium beige head. And the flavor was incomperable. I got much more chocolate than coffee, which was fine by me. I almost forgot I was drinking beer; it felt more like a chocolate milk, minus the lactose. Overall an amazingly deep, rich beer. wavers1 (178), novato, California, USA

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jul 29, 2009 The aroma is motly chocolate with some alcohol. The flavor is sweet and mainly chocolate, though the coffee is on the finish subtly but also delicious. I could go for more pronounced coffee, but it’s still quite good. Very dark brown pour, little carbonation and nice rich aroma of vanilla and milk chocolate. Flavor smooth creamy dark chocolate, again some vanilla and finished smooth with a tiny bit of coffee sweetness. Very good, will definitely buy this one again. vtafro (477), , New Jersey, USA

Sweet caramel/toffee aroma, very welcoming. Nice coffee overtones with subtle sweet flavors. Wouldn’t be able to drink more than oneƙoz pour) but if i didn’t try to pound this it would have been nice. Also the alcohol is a non factor with taste.
