Commercial Description:
When empirical and creative impulses collide, the result is often timeless. The classic utility-art aesthetic of the coffee maker is an example of design and engineering working in concert. It is through similar cooperation that the simple bitter cocoa bean is transformed into a sweet treat. As scientists, our brewers utilize their materials to exacting standards. As artists, they couldn’t resist the temptation to combine the best flavors of two of our highly acclaimed Blackwater Series Imperial Stouts, Jahva and Choklat. Alone each is perfect, but together as Mokah, they are an inimitable expression of two of the world’s most sought after flavors. Enjoy Mokah stout with - or as - your favorite dessert! Cheers!

bottle, thanks to bu11zeye, walnut color with no foam, aroma of cocoa, butterscotch, chocolate milk, this is the strongest hershey’s chocolate milk you ever made as a kid and almost rivals Choklat

Bottle thanks to sloth. I love ST stouts (and lots of their other beers). Pours with a brown, mocha head, over a very deep coca cola body. Aroma has tons of bitter baking chocolate, a few roasty coffee beans and a lot more bitter chocolate for good measure. Taste is chocolate powder with bitter coffee grounds and a bit of nuttiness. Lots of cocoa, but not as decadent as Choklat (I need more...that beer is like crack...addictive). Creamy mouthfeel and light bubbles.

Black body beneath a thin light brown head. Chocolate chip cookie aroma accompanied by coffee and licorice. Sweet milk chocolate and restrained roasted barley and coffee flavors are followed by a little port wine. Finishes lightly dry and roasty. The sweetness doesn’t get in the way here as it does with their creme brulee.

22 oz bottle
The latest release in the Blackwater series is a blend of two solid ancestors. Each had flaws of their own; some have made it into this one while others are now balanced out. Overall I think it is a worthwhile investment if you can find it for between $8 and $10 a bomber.

Aroma / Appearance - The tannish head was faint above the mahogany body. With a gradient to deep black it contrasts against the sunlight. Creme brulee, vanilla, cherry Pop Tarts, peanut butter, chocolate chop cookies, and anise are the most evident aspects. Other things lurk in the background as well to create a rich but not overwhelming profile.

Flavor / Palate - Fluid and creamy it slides across the throat. Strongly vanilla and chocolately with chili powder, graham crackers, coffee, and peanut brittle also show up at times. It tastes more like the Choklat than the Jahva. With a bit more time it will smooth out I think; if you happen to have two bottles drink one now and save one for six months to a year.

22oz bottle–pours a rich light brown head and black color. Aroma is rich hot chocolate-chocolate. Taste is earthy hops, strong chocolate/some coffee-some burnt, some alcohol. Occasional. Thanks to decaturstevo for sharing.

Sampled from a 22 oz brown bottle this beer poured a dark black color with a huge creamy dark tan head. The aroma was fabulous mix of strong sweet chocolate syrup, vanilla and sweet coffee. The flavor was strong with malted milk, sweet chocolate, vanilla and a hint of coffee with moderate floral hops and light fruity hops underneath. The finish was long and turned bitter with a more pronounced hoppiness dominating the chocolate and vanilla. Wonderful.
