Commercial Description:
When empirical and creative impulses collide, the result is often timeless. The classic utility-art aesthetic of the coffee maker is an example of design and engineering working in concert. It is through similar cooperation that the simple bitter cocoa bean is transformed into a sweet treat. As scientists, our brewers utilize their materials to exacting standards. As artists, they couldn’t resist the temptation to combine the best flavors of two of our highly acclaimed Blackwater Series Imperial Stouts, Jahva and Choklat. Alone each is perfect, but together as Mokah, they are an inimitable expression of two of the world’s most sought after flavors. Enjoy Mokah stout with - or as - your favorite dessert! Cheers!

Pours a dark blackish-brown with very little head. Aroma is caramel dark chocolate, vanilla extract, french roast and definite alcohol/bourbon notes. Flavor is definite bittersweet/dark chocolate with definite nutty tones. The bitter notes of espresso are also present. Body is very creamy with light carbonation. Very smooth body.

Pours as dark as motor oil black with a thin beige head. The aroma is chocolate milk, bang on, caramel, vanilla, oak, cardboard, stale dark coffee, alcohol. The flavour is an exact replica of that, big big milk chocolate notes, vanilla, subtle espresso, anise, alcohol. Delicious. Silky mouth feel, medium weight, medium long dry coffee finish.

bomber. color is black with a touch of red and a thin tan head. big milk chocolate aroma - smells like a shake. taste is sweet chocolate with faint hops and coffee. The alcohol is covered well - can’t believe it’s 11%. comes off as a desert beer. definitely different and interesting - but I like my stouts a little thicker and heavier on the coffee.

Pours dark brown with a thin tan head. Massive aroma of chocolate, coffee, dark fruit, and vanilla. Thick, sweet, syrup body. Very sweet. Sweetness hides the 11% ABV very well. Solid.

bomber from once upon a vine. pours an extremely dark brown with a solid, beige head and great lacing. aroma is excellent with big, bitter espresso, dark chocolate, hazelnut malt, vanilla extract, heath bar, and a hint of dark fruit and booze. flavor is outstanding with huge, bittersweet, dark chocolate, roast coffee, and cream up front with big notes of vanilla, caramel, nutty malt, and chocolate fudge cake rounding out the sip. palate is rich, medium bodied, and quite smooth with a long, bittersweet, mocha finish. overall, an extremely delicious brew.

Tap at Ginger Man in NYC. I didn’t think all that much of Choklat, but this one blew me away. Black in color with a fairly large tan head. Great aroma of chocolate, coffee, roast, and malted milkshake. Flavor is an incredible blast of mocha with roasted malt and sweet milk in the background. This is really an extreme beer and not for everyone, but definitely for me. Full and heavy yet smooth on the palate. An awesome dessert in itself.

22 oz bottle. Pours a deep black with a small tan head. Aroma is chocolate, espresso, roasted malts, alcohol. Flavor is solid. Chocolates, espresso, malts, vanilla. Warming alcohol flavor. I think the mixing of Jahva and Choklat made for a less interesting beer here -unlike their Gemini which made for a more interesting combination.
