As I start to describe this jewel, I stopped and asked myself "what can I say about this that hasn’t already been said before?" Well, If you like beer, chocolate, coffee, or any combination of the three, then you are simply going to love this. If not, you’ll probably wind up rating this a c+ or b-. I’m delighted to say I side with the majority. This is amazing! A Southern tier brewski never ceases to amaze me. The brewery is always pushing its beer to the outer limits. All the mouth-watering flavors mask the 11% ABV like it’s not even there. A truly delicious treat! Highly recommended! ~

Aroma is rich creamy, chocolate and coffee. Super rich flavor that is extremely chocolatey, cocoa and some light bitter roast coffee flavors. Full bodied and very rich. Its like a brownie in a glass!

Chocolate follows through the whole sip. A little coffee bitterness follows but the chocolate flavor steals the show. Smooth and incredibly drinkable at 11%. You need to try this beer. | 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Sep 20, 2009 Tasted at an imperial stout session with the colleagues. Now this is something! Nougat, toffee, milky chocolate, fresh grinded coffee all mixed in this desert from heavn kinda nose. Its black with a tiny brown head, but its so drinkable its amazing, 11%? Flavor is again chocolate and caramel sweet, with some mild roasted bitter notes. If you like sweets with sweet stuff on it, then this is a good bet on an imp stout you’ll like.
