Hoppy aroma slightly smoky. Clear orange color with a medium off white head. Bitter beginning with a sweet finish.

14-AUG-2009, Bottle @home. Beautifull orangy colour with almost no head. Aroma is filled with malty notes, vanilla, and then the hops. The oak is there in the taste, but just enough to add complexity. In some oak aged beers, the oak dominates, but here the taste is wonderfull, and still hops dominated with just a shot of oak. Very creamy, in fact quite oily and medium to low carbonation makes it very drinkable. A good shot of sweetness is there as well. Very long aftertaste, and a very enjoyable beer.

Bottle. It’s a beautiful hazy golden amber colour with a thick off-white head. Head retention is really very good. This has a warm IIPA aroma with plenty of piney hops, some apricot, peach in there too and distant oak. Mouthfeel is thick and chewy with a slight oiliness. There is plenty more pine in the flavour accompanied by oak; strong hop bitterness carries all the way through. There’s some fruit in there too: apricot with bitter lemon and orange zest followed by a hint of avocado. Finish is long and bitter with lots more oak.

Bottle. Pours with a small, fizzy head that recedes quickly over a golden brown body. Aroma is light woodiness, caramel, tropical fruits, hops. Flavor is sweet caramel, then a nice hop astringency, followed by typical oak flavor. Syrupy mouthfeel with light carbonation.

(22oz bomber) Pours a hazy orange amber with big oily bubbles and amazing lacing. Nose of grapefruit, oak, bitter hops and creamy smells. Taste is very well balanced with sweet malts and hops playing nicely together. Caramel, extremely unique, nice body weight, complex, spicy, and creamy. The body is also oily and slick and has a great palette linger. Both of the Un*Earthly beers are two of my favorite DIPAs.

Pours a clear orange color with a medium sized puffy head that rapidly shinks. Nose is sweet vanilla and toasted oak, blood orange, and nouget. Taste is citrus and burnt sweet sticky like charred teriyaki beef ends some grass an vanilla bean as well. Medium thin mouthfeel with a silky finish that burns slightly.

65cl bottle @ Hj Hansen, Odense. Pours a deep orange color with a small creamy white head and lacings. Nose is just lovely and complex. Smooth oaky with lots of tropical hops. Fresh with notes of liquorice. Vaguely sticky , full and oily palate. Taste is not as hoppy as expected. Lots of malts. Ends dry and hoppy. Aroma kind of promised more. Still interesting and very tasty. Warm and well hid alcohol.
