22oz fresh bottle. Pours a nice amber orange with no head. Aroma is hoppy and bitter with just some oakiness. The hops provide some fruitiness as well. Flavor is upfront hoppiness resin and fruit, then the oak appears as it rolls over the tongue. Finally the caramel sweetness finishes long and strong. Really nice and very easy to drink.

Appearance: Pours a bright copper with a small amount of gathering suds. Aroma: Citrus, a small bit of wood, sugary caramel sweetness, and pears. Very perfumy. Taste: Honey, pear, bitterness, caramel and wood. Mouthfeel: Juicy and sticky. Overall: Fantastic, but not an IPA. If you are looking for that fantastic, unique blend of hops used in OG Unearthly IPA, you won’t. This is nearing barleywine territory, and is mighty impressive.

750 ml bottle - The oak aged aroma hits your nose pretty stiff. First sip was a shock to my palate, very nice flavors and its well balanced with the oak finish.

[2127-20090502] 750mL bottle. Orange citrus sweet alcohol aroma with some grassy notes. Clear, medium orange body with a quick foamy off-white head. Sweet citrus orange continues in the flavour with a mild oak finish. Medium body finishes roughly. Average, nice oakiness.

stu-meat bought this over, i am excited.. . perfumey hops and vanilla oak aromas .. . apricots , pine, sap, and oak dominate the mouth .. . smooth and tasty, but the intense sweetness can get tiresome after a full glass .. share a bottle! .. . a very nice well made brew, but prepare for oaky sweetness! .. awesome! .. .love the label too! .. a mean selfish S.O.G (son of a gun)

Bottle shared with Hogtown Harry, Garthicus, Blankboy, and GregClow, courtesy of Harry. Mild oak/vanilla aroma, very nice. Dark orange, small white head. Good taste - basically unearthly with vanilla. I’ll take my unearthly on its own, thanks, but this was a neat experiment that turned out ok.

Bottle. Heavy malt aromas of roasted and caramel, moderate grapefruit and herbs for the hops, light dough for the yeast, and background notes of date, dried berries, wood, honey and vanilla. Head is small, slightly off-white, with fair lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is clear light orange. Flavor starts moderately sweet and lightly acidic, then finishes lightly sweet, acidic and bitter. Palate is medium to full, oily almost creamy, and has a soft almost flat carbonation. Astounding aromas, fantastic flavors and an unearthly finish. A superb DIPA.

Pours with a clear, amber-orange body topped by a thick head with a good amount of lacing. The aroma is sweet and malty with notes of toffee and a little bit of hops. The flavor is sweet and malty with notes of toffee and a moderate hoppiness and not much oak/barrel character. Medium to full bodied, smooth and a touch dry.
