Bottle. Dark and thick, as one would expect an Imperial Stout shoudl be. The head is tight bubbles, but stops a step short of being solid foam. The aroma is kick-azz ... oily, viscuous and alcohol-laden! This drinks with a full ladle of rich, over-the-top flavors, thick with an alcohol-laden sweetness. There’s also a sweet fruitiness that hangs around, too ... kinda like a fermented fruit roll up. Interesting and intriguing and not for a light beer drinker, that’s for sure! (#3319, 2/10/2008)

Aug 24, 2008 Bottle: Damn near black with a creamy brown head. Massive aroma of coffee and sweet cocoa. Very true to the oatmeal stout class. Taste is smoky and roasty malt with some light bits of burnt malt. Coffee and some light bitters. More of that oatmeal feel. Rich and potent. Might be picking up a little bit of tobacco? Wow, this was solid. Thanks beerbill!

Aug 23, 2008 22 oz. Bomber: Jet black with a brown head. Strong alcohol in the aroma as well as chocolate and coffee. With the consistency of a warm milkshake, this brew makes you scream HELLO! Rich, thick flavors of chocolate, alcohol, cough syrup. I definitely see the molasses in the flavor. WOW. This brewskie is phenomenal. Thanks Jake65 for sharing this gem.

Aug 23, 2008 Ink black pour with a dark tan small head. Lots of sweet molassas, brn sugar and a bit of smoke. Lovly rich carmelized surgar flaror. Smoke and roastd but lacking much of the bitternes o an imperial. Thin but very slick feel. Th oats are perfect. Lingering burnt suger lavor.

Aug 23, 2008 22oz Bottle Pours out a black topped with a tan head. Aroma of the 11% some smoke and plenty of chocolate. Tast of the sweetness plenty oats. WOW this was GREAT. Very thick. Thanks Jake You the man for this one.

Aug 18, 2008 After Southern Tier Choklat, Iwas stoked about trying this one, but found it underwhelming. Nice palate, full body, but boring flavor and aroma.
