12oz bottle. Pours reddish brown with a creamy tan head and some lacing. Smells of spicy, fruity hops with some carmel and toffee notes in the background. Flavor had a caramel base, sharp pale malt and mildly fruity hop finish.

For an old ale this is very light. Not much going on with this beer. Not much aroma. One of the plainer holiday ales around. Even the color doesn’t evoke home and hearth and snow outside. I usually like Southern Tier. This doesn’t do much for me.

Bottle. Poured a dark brown color with a decent head. Left some lacing on the side of the glass. Aroma was caramel, toffee, and malts. Flavor was excellent. Basement aroma, butterstoch, and nutty. Finish was mild bitters. Medium body. Great winter beer.

Bottle courtesy of JRedmond. I’ve been trying to get my hands on this brew for over a year. Basically the last mainstream ST brew that I haven’t rated. Really happy to have finally tried it.. so massive props. The brew poured a leathery brown with off white dissipating head atop. Flavors are strong and hearty for an Non-Imperial Southern Tier... hop is initially present but loads of cereal malts and sugary hay undertone flavors are present. A very strong offering 3.55

Bottle. Malty hop aroma. Brown-amber body with thin head. Nice carbonation. Meduim body, caramel/barley flavor with citrus and floral notes. Bitter aftertaste that coats your mouth.

12 oz pours clear amber with just a little offwhite head. Citrus, honey, clove and cinnamon. Sweet clove and Ginger with nice bitter finish. Great winter ale.

pours a clear amber. Hoppy floral character. Toasted caramel and brown sugar. Warm alcohol burn.

Bottle. 12 oz. Pours clear amber with a thin beige head. Aroma of dry hops, citrus, pine, hay, and clove. Medium bodied with a smooth mouthfeel. Quick finish. Good.
