Clear deep amber pour with a constellation of light head on top. Aroma of Southern tier yeast and hops up front, some fruit. Hop forward flavor, with dry caramelly malts. Peanut butter in the finish with some alcohol. This beer is ambivalent like a hotel room.

Dec 3, 2009 Bottle. Poured a dark brown color with a decent head. Left some lacing on the side of the glass. Aroma was caramel, toffee, and malts. Flavor was excellent. Basement aroma, butterstoch, and nutty. Finish was mild bitters. Medium body. Great winter beer.

Nov 30, 2009 Bottle courtesy of JRedmond. I’ve been trying to get my hands on this brew for over a year. Basically the last mainstream ST brew that I haven’t rated. Really happy to have finally tried it.. so massive props. The brew poured a leathery brown with off white dissipating head atop. Flavors are strong and hearty for an Non-Imperial Southern Tier... hop is initially present but loads of cereal malts and sugary hay undertone flavors are present. A very strong offering 3.55

Nov 30, 2009 Bottle. Malty hop aroma. Brown-amber body with thin head. Nice carbonation. Meduim body, caramel/barley flavor with citrus and floral notes. Bitter aftertaste that coats your mouth.

Nov 28, 2009 12 oz pours clear amber with just a little offwhite head. Citrus, honey, clove and cinnamon. Sweet clove and Ginger with nice bitter finish. Great winter ale.
