| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Nov 15, 2009 THOUGHTS: I hated the label and thought it was way too hop heavy for an APA. Not enough malt to balance thing out. Nothing special and not something I’ll try again. I love their imperials, but haven’t found many of their regulars that I like.
TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a clear, medium yellow with a rather small, off-white head that mostly diminished. The aroma was light biscuit, moderate to heavy piney, resinous and lemony hops. It was a little like lemon Pine Sol, but not in an entirely bad way. The initial flavor was lightly sweet, bitter and slightly acidic; while the finish was rather bitter with a long duration. There was bready, biscuity malt; and piney, citric and then grassy and metallic hops. The light to medium body was a little watery and then rather dry with tingly carbonation and a metallic finish.
