Commercial Description:
When Phin and Matt sat down to collaborate on their new beer, they knew it had to be different if they were to call it extraordinary. "Let sprinkle it with fairy dust and wave our magic wands," said Phin. "No way," said Matt, "We've got to do better than that. This beer has to be better than any other in the galaxy." "Let's do some market research." So the two strapped on their rocket pack packs and traveled to the intergalactic beer store. After sampling an array of beers from acrossed the galaxy, the duo hit on an idea. "I've got it" exclaimed Matt, "we'll use vast amounts of whole hops, the finest malt, and put a little more love in every batch." "Eureka!" shouted Phin. And thus became a beer so fresh and tasty the duo put their names on it. 37 IBU's, 5.6% ABV

Picked up a single 12-oz bottle at Three Cellars in St Francis, Wisconsin. Pours a clear golden pale brew with a decent and lumpy off-white head that slowly dissipates to a fine film and some spotty lacing. Aroma of caramel malt, some citrus hops, a touch of apple, and some cotton candy. Taste is medium bodied, light carbonation with a more citrus hoppy flavor than caramel malt. Finish has a slight apple bitter aftertaste that slowly disappears.

12 oz. bottle. Tried to guess the style before I saw the description here. Smell upon opening was a little tart, like a wheat, then sweetens up like a dubbel. Pours an amber beer with busy columns of bubbles rising from sides of glass, slightly puffy white head. So it does look more like an IPA. Smell now suggests some chewy malts and an APA load of hops. Taste may be a little thin on malt for what’s boasted. Nice spicy hop load with a bit of PNW to it. Good, yes. Extraordinary? Ennh.

12 oz bottle purchased at Oak Tree. This one poured with waaaay to much head. Virtually it was a glass of head so I thought it might have been infected but the aroma and flavor seemed to be okay. Aroma had a slight bit of mustiness, the malt profile seemed to be wheaty although I’m pretty sure this isn’t brewed with wheat. Flavor is dominated by lots of malts with some spicey pepper as well. For some reason I was expecting something smooth and easy drinking and this was much fuller and more complex then I was anticipating.

The color is somewhat clear with a golden tint. There is a white sudsy head that leaves some streaks along the sides of the glass. The nose has some bitter hops mixed with pale malt. As you take a sip the beer is nice and crisp with the perfect balance of bitterness and bready malt. Overall the beer is nice and crisp and can be pared well with most foods.

pours a pale amber/orange tea color with a minimal head. smells sweet and grainy with orange and mild grassy hops. very tame flavor... orange/citrusy hops, grass, grain and a moderately dry finish. light to medium bodied. smooth texture. kinda meh. leaves me wanting something more.
