Commercial Description:
When Phin and Matt sat down to collaborate on their new beer, they knew it had to be different if they were to call it extraordinary. "Let sprinkle it with fairy dust and wave our magic wands," said Phin. "No way," said Matt, "We've got to do better than that. This beer has to be better than any other in the galaxy." "Let's do some market research." So the two strapped on their rocket pack packs and traveled to the intergalactic beer store. After sampling an array of beers from acrossed the galaxy, the duo hit on an idea. "I've got it" exclaimed Matt, "we'll use vast amounts of whole hops, the finest malt, and put a little more love in every batch." "Eureka!" shouted Phin. And thus became a beer so fresh and tasty the duo put their names on it. 37 IBU's, 5.6% ABV

mediocre. it did nothing wrong but it certainly didn’t wow me. I remember this tasting a lot like caramel. mildly hoppy. dark copper color.

Lots of late hop flavor focusing on mandarin orange. A zesty bitterenss picks up in the end. Quite good!

Poured from a 12oz bottle and served in a shaker. This pale ale poured a fairly clear golden amber hue with a thin head of beige foam that settled into a lasting film. Some nice, even lacing was left around the glass. The aroma consisted of mild caramel, dried oranges, and citrus. The flavor included thin malts and faint citrus. A bland mix of caramel and oranges. The mouthfeel was medium-bodied and had moderate carbonation. Bland and amazingly dull.

Pours a clear orange color with a small off white head. taste is dry malt slightly toasted and has a very short almost minty finish that leaves the taste of corn and adjuncts in the mouth. Not a fan.

pretty bold to call this extraordinary, and i am a southern tier fan! their artisan beers in 22s are great at worst but anything in a 12oz bottle is junk. this is the best of the worst, so to speak....lightly hopped but still lacking balance or any real challenge. pours straw yellow, flavors of cereal and other bad lager qualities. weak hops and overly sweet malt. typical poor pale ale. cmon guys! you can do better!

12 oz. bottle served with a glass at The Galway Tribes (Frankfort, IL). Poured a decent enough darler gold hue, lightly hazed, with a whitish head that is decent in size and sustainability. Aromas are subdued: Pale ale malts mixing with some light citrusy hops. Overall, average. Taste is similar, a tad lighter on the palate but very sessionable. Lighter bready malts mixing with lemony citrus balance well, but don’t push the envelope on flavor. Overall, average and sessionable. No harsh flavors, nothing bad, just no defining characteristics. Cheers.
