Aroma of grasses and peaches. Flavor or bitter grasses, hops, and some fruitiness. A nice beer, but doesn’t compare to their IPA. PhillyHomeBrew (176), Forest Hills, New York, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 27, 2008 clear amber body with just a hint of head. Apply aroma with malt and orange/citrus. There is a malty flavor, but not much of the citrus or apple that was on the nose. TheDean (785), MIlwaukee, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 17, 2008 Quite a lovely beer. I feel like saying Hey baby, nice hops! from what I can tell, alcohol is added to this beverage during the "brewing" process, which makes it even better. donteatpoop (124), Youngstown, Ohio, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | May 15, 2008 Pours a clear golden-orange color with very little head. Surprisingly, the minimal head leaves quite a bit of lacing on the glass.
The scent of hops pretty much dominates the nose, traces of citrus hiding behind it.
The taste is initially hops with the citrus hitting the mouth in the end, and leaving the mouth with it’s taste.
Good mouthfeel, nice carbonation level and a pleasant aftertaste with no hints of dryness left behind on the palate.

| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | May 14, 2008 Hoppy throughout. It starts with a scent of hops and carries it through the whole drinking experience. A good solid Pale Ale. Skyview (4055), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 12, 2008 Picked up a single 12-oz bottle at Three Cellars in St Francis, Wisconsin. Pours a clear golden pale brew with a decent and lumpy off-white head that slowly dissipates to a fine film and some spotty lacing. Aroma of caramel malt, some citrus hops, a touch of apple, and some cotton candy. Taste is medium bodied, light carbonation with a more citrus hoppy flavor than caramel malt. Finish has a slight apple bitter aftertaste that slowly disappears. MrBeerFanatic (359), jamestown, New York, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 12, 2008 Not that extraordinary. I expected more for the taste for some reason. Somewhat weak in content of flavor. Has a hoppy aroma and low hoppy taste. Kind of refreshing and crisp towards the end, but nothing big. ElGaucho (1730), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 8, 2008 Bottle. Very similar aroma to Three Floyds Alpha King which must be coming from the Cascade hops. Sweet, well balanced and moderately hoppy. Slightly hazy gold. Good, ghoulish, sloppy lace. Upon first sip there is something I really like about this brew and something I’m not sure of. Fairly strong bitterness greets the front of the tongue. Good balance. This is a watered down version of Alpha King and perhaps more sessionable. This would be a great beer to indoctrinate hop newbies. Clearly I prefer a little more robustness in my ales, but the label says it best, this is an extraordinary, session pale and clearly a victim of the Ratebeer big beer bias.
