Sep 16, 2009 12oz bottle. Clear, light golden color. Huge fluffy light tan head, you could lick the foam from the top of the glass and convince people it is a new form of dining. Great lace. Aroma has a hop earthiness along with a hint of citrus hop. Very light but still very obvious. A touch of malt that reminds me of the smells from first time you walk into a small craft brewery. A malt that is light, fluffy, and pure heaven. Tastes like an intensely fresh beer. Very light bodied, smooth, very drinkable. Exceptionally sessionable. Smooth malts with a hint of honey and the freshest barley malt. So fresh. Crisp hop bitterness imitates taking an autumn hike through your favorite patch of forest. For some reason the taste takes me back to when I was a little kid wandering through the woods. Exceptionally sessionable. So well balanced, light finish, Creamy texture. Superb. This Ale truly is Extraordinary. I am very proud to have rated it. I loved it!

May 21, 2006 Updated: Jun 12, 2006Bottle (via BeerBeast): Outstanding!!!!! Just a fabulous beer. Aroma is soft and delicate, taste is full yet not overpower ing with any one thing. i kept thinking the taste was malts, no wait hops, nevermind malts (so a tad more malts than hops), so balanced and good!! The best beer I’ve had in a long while, especially when you consider its one of those underrated APAs, its outstanding!!!

Dec 31, 2005 12 oz bottle Pours a hazy yellow amber with a creamy white head. Aroma is of spruce and citrus, with a touch of nut malts. Has a medium body with a very smooth taste. Moderate bitter and acid, light sweetness. This is a very drinkable beer. I love this one. Might have to get it for the kegerator.

May 15, 2006 From a twelve ounce bottle - Pours a reddish-amber color with a tall white head and piney aroma. Tastewise, I like it (very Sierra Nevadaesque) but it’s a bit heavy on the evergreen flavors.

Jul 12, 2007 Bottle. Pretty good, good balance between malt and hops. It was quite sweet, yet bitter enough to offset it. Not much for appearence, small head that fades away and small lacing.

Nov 30, 2008 Lots of late hop flavor focusing on mandarin orange. A zesty bitterenss picks up in the end. Quite good!
