Commercial Description:
Don't let Tripel's light color and delicate aroma fool you, this is one serious beer brewed with maximum effort. First, we introduce freshest barley to crystal filtered water. Second, we add the best hops shipped directly for Europe. Third, our special yeast is the catalyst for fermentation, gobbling sugar and creating alcohol as it works. Some say that the Belgian monks who first brewed this style called it triple to denoted its high alcohol content. Still others believe triple's origins lay in its triple fermentation; twice in the brewery and once in the bottle. Whatever the answer, ours is the Tripel threat.

Pours a filtered golden with a loose knit dissipating white head. The aroma is dms, hot, and floral. The body is quite thick and sweet. The flavor is...well...flawed. Fermented too hot, the beer is anything but elegant. Lots of phenols andeven more fusel alcohols. Finish is fizzy and well...bad. The poorest beer I have had from this otherwise fine brewer.

Bottle. Pours a clear golden colour with a small white head. Malty spicy, yeasty aroma with some hints of caramel. Sweet malty slightly hoppy bitter flavor. Long malty bitter finish.

Bottle... Hazy yellow ale with a large, frothy, white head. Breadsy, fruity nose with notes of apricot and just a whisper of pear. Very good retention. Medium sweet, mildly bitter flavor. Fruity. Full-bodied with a lightly creamy mouthfeel and soft carbonation. Bittersweet, fruity finish. Lacks the spicy phenols and real spices that I usually detest in a tripel. Thanks to growler for sharing his bottle with kkearn and I.

Err, not real good. The worst of the variety pack. Just didn’t have that crisp taste I was looking for. Pass.

Pours a strawberry yellow with a lingering pool of white. Aroma is very nice and spicy, very fresh. Flavor tangy and unpleasant, gets better as I got used to it, but that never is a good thing.

This bottled brew from Aofoxxy at a rating party poured a small sized head of medium sized bubbles that was fully diminished and left behind a transparent uncarbonated light yellow-orange colored body and a poor lacing. The aroma was malty sweet orange peel and dough. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and strongly tingly at the finish caramel aftertaste. The flavor contained notes of sweet mildly vinous and mild caramel. A decent one that I would consider having again.

Golden, with a small, white head. Aromas are yeast, fruit, and hops. Flavors are hops, sugar, fruit, and yeast. Not a bad beer, but it’s not a tripel, to me.

Bomber. Slightly hazy amber with a fluffy white head. Aroma of sweet caramel and cookie malts, candy corn and hops. Caramel malty sweetness with some spice and very apparent, even distracting, citrusy hops. Some alcohol noticeable on the finish but mostly well hidden. Palate smooth though with a bit of annoying fizziness. More American IPA characteristics than those of a Belgian ale.
