Commercial Description:
Don't let Tripel's light color and delicate aroma fool you, this is one serious beer brewed with maximum effort. First, we introduce freshest barley to crystal filtered water. Second, we add the best hops shipped directly for Europe. Third, our special yeast is the catalyst for fermentation, gobbling sugar and creating alcohol as it works. Some say that the Belgian monks who first brewed this style called it triple to denoted its high alcohol content. Still others believe triple's origins lay in its triple fermentation; twice in the brewery and once in the bottle. Whatever the answer, ours is the Tripel threat.

22oz bottle; not much that stayed with the palate; big foamy head; balanced in flavor but didn’t sway to one side for any enjoyability; sporadic sloppy lace; medium to light amber. (#25)

Another gem of the Southern Tier Brewery. If you like hops, Southern Tier beers are for you. 75% of the beers they produce are very very good. 20% are good and 5% I could do without. This is a nice hoppy, instead of spicy, taste to it. A fantastic beer when had from a small tulip glass.

65cl bottle. Pours cloudy gold with a white creamy head. Nose is yeast and orange fruits. Smooth and full bodied. Hints of hops in the end. Quite simple but very tasty!

Bottle 65 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Slightly hazy deep golden with an off-white head leaving laces. Aroma of yeast and overripe fruit. Solid body with plenty of fruit and American hops. Lightly bitter finish with a perfumy touch. 010209

22 oz bottle: This is my second beer from this brewery. Both have been very good. They match my taste for beer that has taste. The Tripel is a high alcohol beer that disguises it very well. The color was clear copper with a nice forthy head that laces down the glass. I do get a hint of corriander and curacao orange peel. It is a serious beer. The more I drink the more I enjoy. I need to learn more about Belgian Beers. The finish is smooth with some sweetness.

[Bottle @ Odense Tasting, 14th February 2009]
Thank you, Madsnp
Pours golden with lots of bubbles and a small, frothy, off-white head. Yeasty aroma, oranges and some slight pine hops. Fine mouthfeel, high carbonation. Flavour has yeast, dry hops with some spices. Quite nice, but something seems to be missing compared to real Belgians.

Bottle at home. Cloudy amber coloured with a medium sized off white head. Fruity aroma of caramel, coriander, hops, pine needles and marzipan. Sweet and fruity flavour of caramel, flowers, spices, hops and pine needles. Spicy and hoppy finish. A bit too sweet.

22oz. bomber: This one pours a clear, slightly orangish golden color. There was only a very small white head on it and it went away rather quickly. It leaves no lacing. The aroma is nice, but a tad lighter than expected. Some orange, with a hint of coriander and breadiness. The taste is actually a bit thin on the tongue. A touch of fizziness. Hints of orange and coriander to the taste, and some bitterness to the finish. I think I’ll pass on getting this one again.
