chicagodri (485), Chicago, Illinois, USA Jun 26, 2008 I don’t know what exactly an Imperial Summer Wheat is...but it was interesting. It didn’t taste much like a wheat, and it had a hell of a hop aroma that didn’t quit fit what I thought the beer would be like. Some nice citrus in there, and it seemed a little thicker than a wheat also. Pretty solid beer though, and incredibly easy to drink for a 8% beer.
Beerman6686 (724), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 30, 2008 Pours a somewhat clear color with with a big white head. Aroma is a bit grassy with a nice aroma of fresh hops. Flavor is really smooth, sweet and fruity with a nice hop bitter finish. Reminds me of a souped up gumballhead dchmela (702), Orlando, Florida, USA Aug 27, 2008 22oz Bomber. Pours a cloudy straw gold with a thick white head. Malty caramel and bog citrus hop aroma. Big wheaty malt taste with a touch of some bitter hops. Sneaky strong and tasty. gnoff (2580), Göteborg, Sweden Aug 27, 2008 (65 cl bottle at Oliver Twist, Stockholm) On August 23, 2008 Clear pale golden color, small white head. Floral and grassy hoppy scent. Bitter hoppy taste, some citrus and green apples. Lingering afterbitterness. Medium to moussy mouthfeel, high bitterness. omhper (10456), Stockholm, Sweden Aug 26, 2008 Updated: Sep 3, 2008Bottled at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Clear pale golden, minimal head. Fruity nose with some vague vegetables. Sweet and amazingly thin for an 8% beer. Metal is the predominant feature, though citric hops tries in vain to cover it. It’s edgy and aggresive with no thirst quenching qualities whatsoever. As there are also near no flavour to savour, beside sweaty lightly orange hops. An imperially boring beer. blutt59 (679), Dallas, Texas, USA Aug 22, 2008 bottle, clear gold color, large foamy head with some legs, nose is hoppy malt, flavor is bright lemon and sweetness, finish is a bit muddled
