| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 21, 2009 Bottle. Looks like a brandy but it has a nice small head that subsides to a ring. Aroma of malt and piney hops. Malt is very caramelly. Well hopped without being a hop bomb. Hops are very resinous, piney, and have a hint of citrus. A good West Coast style IPA flavour from the East. Alcohol is hidden very well but I am getting a buzz quickly because this beer is damn quaffable for an 11% ABV brew. Not over-carbonated. I’m feeling the love. Starting off with the smooth full taste and giving the fullness of an imperial IPA. Just enough maltiness with a wonderful finish of hops (grapefruit) that hangs on for a long time. A great beer for any occasion or no occasion. tpd975 (243), Riverview, Florida, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Dec 20, 2009 A: Pours a nice amber color with a nice foaming head that leaves behind nice lacing.
S: Big sweet pine aroma. There is a hint of pepper and citrus as well.
T: Wow nice big sweet. Tons of Toffee, Brown Sugar, and Caramel. The hops do power thru though with citrus being the dominant flavor. Tons of flavor. What a brew man what a brew.
M: Nice and full bodied, wonderful tasting beer. TonyDiUlio (190), New Jersey, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Dec 13, 2009 A great IPA. One of my favorites. It has the essence of what all great IPA’s should have. A medium gold pour. Full hops in both aroma and flavor. Fully covering the palate. And not overpowering you with alcohol. Very good beer, ders0 (14), , Minnesota, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Dec 11, 2009 Wild fucking beer. This was exactly what the doctor ordered. Lots of orange flavors in this and it matches the orange color of the brew. Almost like a clovey orange IPA if that makes sense. The booze it well hidden but definitely present which is OK by me. Very very good. tzakiel (49), Virginia, USA

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 6, 2009 Loved it. very similar to the oak aged version. This one lacks the vanilla from the wood but it seems to be a bit smoother. Citrus, pine aroma. Malty sweet taste with a nice hop kick. Alcohol is well hidden. Very good. skortila (2913), Bunnik, Netherlands
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Dec 6, 2009 Bottled. Aroma has piney hoppiness, some grapefruits, some caramel. Clear, copper-amber coloured beer with a bit frothy, medium head. The taste is moderate bitter with some sugary/caramellic sweet ness. Its taste is full of piney and citric hops with some apricots and perhaps some other fruitiness. Medium bodied. Nice balance. I really enjoy those Southern Tier (D)IPA beers.
