Southside Paddy Wagon Pale

Decided to pop into theis Brewpub, probably the least known in Oregon,today. First pint was this. Looked a little darker amber than most of this style,small head and sparce lacing. The aroma was nondescript, but mostly of malts. This is quite a malty pale ale compared to most I have tasted in the PNW,nice though with a small bitter aftertaste of hops. Quite smooth and satisfying on the palate. A nice and unexpected version of an English Pale( reminded me a little of Whitbread).
