I reckon this is what a pilsener Urquell mixed with a XXXX would taste like. Cool. Is that Saaz hops in there? Lunkie (1020), Glen Iris, Australia

Golden body with a fine white head, that was well maintained throughout. Enjoyed with a dozen Sydney Rock Oysters and a Dozen Coffin Bay Pacific, the beer was a well made and present larger. thebaron99 (110), Royston Park SA, Australia
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Oct 31, 2001 Clean soft lager with big nose; I don’t know what Southwark have changed, but this is not as good as 3-4 years ago when it won lotza gold. Insipid, bland light Saaz, more bitter and light finish. European style beer. Great with curries especially satay. mullet (801), Melbourne, Australia
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Oct 15, 2004 Updated: Sep 22, 2006Clear gold, reasonable head for half the glass, poor head for the other half. Smooth caramel, diacetyl and a tiny tiny bit of hop aroma. Not that dissimilar to bottled PU really. The malt comes through nicely. Nice malty flavour again, but the hop flavour seems very metallic. Quite fizzy too. This really isn’t that far from Urquell at all, it’s just lacking that little bit of finesse. Muggus (193), Sydney, Australia
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 9, 2003 I was quite disappointed with this beer. My old man had recommended it, but I don't think it really suits my tastes. By no means a bad lager, simply lacks in that certain character that makes a great lager. Maybe not to my likings too much, but I could recommend it to anyone whos looking for an Australian lager. Caton (160), Sydney, Australia
