Commercial Description:
This pale ale is medium-bodied with a golden amber color. It has a very pleasant hop character that integrates nicely with its smooth malt flavors.

Editor's Note: It is unknown at present exactly where each of the Spanish Peaks beers are being brewed. Flying Dog no longer makes any of them. Some are brewed by City Brewery in LaCrosse, WI. Expect this beer entry to move as more recent info becomes available.

(bottle). Pours a cloudy, dark orange color with particles. Frothy, medium size off white head. Potent hop aroma (possibly fuggles?). Light hop flavor with light bitterness. Soft carbonation. Thin texture. Fair lacing.

Pours a hazy golden orange with a frothy two-finger head that receded to a nice solid film and left plenty of thick lacing. Generous citrusy hops on the nose. Mildly bitter citrus and pine hops flavors with a solid maltiness that nicely balances the bitterness. Medium body, lively carbonation, and a clean crisp hops-dominated aftertaste.

Pours a near clear orange amber with sustainable white head. Nose is apple, sweet floral hop. Flavor is perfumy, some alcohol burn, and more floral hop. Distinct light bitter finish. Easy drinking pale, pretty good for style.

Pours a clear golden/amber with a a few bubbles and a medium creamy white froth. Smells like sour wet grains, hint of caramel, and lightly fruity floral hops. Flavor is light and biscuity, touch of sweet caramel and fruity floral hops, some toffee, a bit purfumy. Medium bodied, easy drinking, nice unobtrusive simple carbonation. Wow... haha it really does taste exactly like bitter iced-tea in the the finish/aftertaste.

Purchased a single 12-oz bottle from Flanagans in Appleton, Wisconsin. Pours a clear semi-hazy copper brew with an average sized off-white head that quickly dissipates to a white ring. Aroma of caramel malt, some orange zest, a touch of toffee and grassy hops. Taste is medium bodied, with flavors of caramel malt, some grassy hops and a touch of citrus. Finish is semi-sweet with a citrus APA and iced tea aftertaste.
