Commercial Description:
A light bodied amber ale made with wildflower honey and natural raspberry. These ingredients, combined with five domestic and imported malted barleys, Pacific Northwest hops, water and ale yeast, creat a unique, fruity ale with a soft palate and a touch of sweetness.

Editor's Note: It is unknown at present exactly where each of the Spanish Peaks beers are being brewed. Flying Dog no longer makes any of them. Some are brewed by City Brewery in LaCrosse, WI. Expect this beer entry to move as more recent info becomes available.

bottle poured into pint glass. Rather mundane fruit beer. It’s not bad just the raspberry is slightly overpowering and little "fake" tasting.

Pours a clear dark amber with minimal head. Nose is fairly strong with raspberry, though not overpowering. Flavor is like raspberry beer. But when I taste it, I just feel like it is beer with added raspberry flavoring. Big deal. There is no flavor ride, nothing that moves me. Nothing really monumental at all. Feel is pretty standard. I only give this one the rank I do on the overall factor because it is not entirely putrid.

I really enjoyed this fruit beer. It had a very good straight forward rasberry taste. The taste was very sweet as well with the addition of the honey. I would recommend it to anyone.

How can one not like a beer with a dog on the label? Good as a refreshing one-beer quencher when served cold.

Got this from Matt at Bev Depot. This was an easy drinking summer novailty brew. Lots of Raspberry in the nose. Would not drink lots of this, but nice in the heat.

From bottle : Pours a handsome amber gold with a medium white head, that stays. Seems very carbonated. Aroma of raspberrys and a overall fruity scent. Taste is as advertised, raspberry with hints of honey. Feels smoothe going down. Aftertaste is a little fruity but not over powering. A little watered down.

12 oz bottle picked up while on vacation in Oregon. Copper color with almost no head. What there was fizzed out quickly. Aromas were nice and raspberry with some caramel malts. Flavors were very similar but a little watered down. Strange aftertaste that was a touch of bandage. Interesting.
