Commercial Description:
A light bodied amber ale made with wildflower honey and natural raspberry. These ingredients, combined with five domestic and imported malted barleys, Pacific Northwest hops, water and ale yeast, creat a unique, fruity ale with a soft palate and a touch of sweetness.

Editor's Note: It is unknown at present exactly where each of the Spanish Peaks beers are being brewed. Flying Dog no longer makes any of them. Some are brewed by City Brewery in LaCrosse, WI. Expect this beer entry to move as more recent info becomes available.

Bottle... Clean amber colour with slight off white head. Aroma is light raspberry and honey touches. Flavour is equal to the aroma but is very mute. The beer in the background is not that powerful and has a somewhat watery palate to it.

(Bottle) Pours an even amber color with a small white head. Relatively low carbonation. Big raspberry and wheat aroma. Taste is of raspberry, yet pretty well balanced with some tartness countering the honey well. Nice looking lacing and better than expected mouthfeel. I was pleasantly surprised by this brew.

Nice looking amber pour with large white head, looks good. Aroma of rasberry candy and malt. Palate is a little watery yet sticky... too sticky. This one will give u a toothache.... very sweet. The rasberry flavor is very clear and delicious with the honey as an accent... however its like a candy...this is not a drinker but more of a dessert beer. Not one for warm summer days but rather to finish off a good meal as a treat.

amber color with just a hint of pink glow. pours without any head. lots of raspberry in the nose and some sweet honeyed grains. starts with a reasonable malt flavor backed with lots of fruity razz and a sweet sweet finish.

Usually I go into each category to explain the rating but the fact is is that beer does not exactly rate the time. It was a watered down, fake raspberry tasting and smelling brew. The color was clear amber with basically little to no head to speak of. It was simply too over the top and too manufactured to give it the scent and the flavor.

Bottle. Pours dark amber with a medium white head. Raspberry aroma, not much else. Sweet raspberry flavor with heavy carbonation. Once again, not much else going on. decent enough drink though. A

A ho hum fruit beer. Less aroma than is typical of the style. Raspberries and some faint yeast is all I can detect. Pour was a murky dark gold/amber with no head. Taste was like a seltzer water with some raspberry flavoring. Sweetness that resembles honey in the aftertaste. Heavy carbonation. I’ve had better.
