Commercial Description:
A light bodied amber ale made with wildflower honey and natural raspberry. These ingredients, combined with five domestic and imported malted barleys, Pacific Northwest hops, water and ale yeast, creat a unique, fruity ale with a soft palate and a touch of sweetness.

Editor's Note: It is unknown at present exactly where each of the Spanish Peaks beers are being brewed. Flying Dog no longer makes any of them. Some are brewed by City Brewery in LaCrosse, WI. Expect this beer entry to move as more recent info becomes available.

Bottle. Pours light copper orange with a small whitish head. The aroma is artificial raspberry, some faint floral notes. The flavor is also artificial raspberry in the front with some zesty notes. It moves on to become grainy in the middle, and grassy by the finish. I don’t much like this one.

I’m going to say I disagree with the consensus and felt this beer did a fine job crafting together raspberry and honey flavors in a effervescent bodied beer. The sweetness is a bit on the wine-cooler side but it is balanced enough to keep this in the ale category. The thin body disappoints however.

Bottle sampled with Beerded_one. Pours orange with an average size white head. Aroma of raspberries and sweet malts. The flavor is thin, weak, raspberries, and sweet malts. Ok brew.

Tastes like raspberries and honey... go figure haha. Very drinkable, at the party I was at with it all the girls there loved drinking it and thought it tasted delicious, rare since most of these girls hate beer.

Sweet aroma of raspberry accompanied by honey. Go figure. A very appealing golden red color with absolutley no head to speak of. Crisp and refreshing taste initially with a pleasant lingering raspberry tart/honey sweet mixture. Very little body to this beer. It is a nice fruit beer. I would drink it again if I was in the mood for something sweet. A dessert beer.

12oz. Bottle: Nice aroma has notes of raspberry, medicine, honey, tea, and barley. Scent is somewhat tart. Poured amber in color with a small off-white head that diminished very quickly. Clear. Not sparkling. Looks kind of clear and watery. Flavor is heavily sweet. Tastes of raspberries, medicine, tea, and barley. Way too sweet. Light body. Thin and watery. Average carbonation. Long sweet finish. Overall, too sweet. Tastes like raspberry iced tea, not a fruit beer. Could not finish.

Lively honey colored pour....off white disappears rather quickly. Has a distinct aroma of berries. Taste gives you just a little berry on the front end and really nothing else. No hop flavor to speak of. This is a good example of why I don’t drink fruit flavored beers. Pretty poor.
