Commercial Description:
A light bodied amber ale made with wildflower honey and natural raspberry. These ingredients, combined with five domestic and imported malted barleys, Pacific Northwest hops, water and ale yeast, creat a unique, fruity ale with a soft palate and a touch of sweetness.

Editor's Note: It is unknown at present exactly where each of the Spanish Peaks beers are being brewed. Flying Dog no longer makes any of them. Some are brewed by City Brewery in LaCrosse, WI. Expect this beer entry to move as more recent info becomes available.

Clear amber/blush with zero head. Aroma of toasted malt, honey and raspberries. Clean and light on the palate with a little raspberry flavor. Watery in body. Finishes with some astringency.

12 oz. bottle via trade with IrishBoy - Pours a copper color with a small off white head. Fine, soft carbonation. Has a nice honey and light berry aroma. The raspberry comes through quite nicely in the flavor. Nice mouthfeel. No lingering aftertaste. Medium body. A nice fruit beer. Thanks Richard.

bottle - Pours clear, light amber with a very thin head. It has an aroma featuring lots of raspberry. The flavor is light and fruity with a crisp finish that has a touch of hops. It’s refreshing and not bad, really, though the raspberry really dominates the beer.

Pours light amber with a white head. Nose was sweet, lots of rapsberry, but doesn’t prepare you for how sweet the flavor is. Your palate gets a shock of raspberry sweetness followed by some caramel and honey in the finish. Pretty decent beer until a slight metallic flavor shows in the finish, but still doesn’t make it gross.

Bottle. Amber colored with thin head. You can really smell the fruit when you open it. I like the aroma. Too fruity for my taste, however. Not bad once in a while.

I didn’t think the taste would be so strong, especially after the aroma. Comparable to a Magic Hat #9, just with raspberries and not as much grittiness. Smooth, medium to full body. A B***h pop in disguise.

Pours clear copper with an uneven frothy / bubbly head. The aroma has raspberries with some metallic traits, light sweetness and amber malts. Medium body with fizzy carbonatin. The taste has raspberries and medicinal traits, some malt in the back. The finish is more metallic and medicinal. When I had a sample at a recent beer festival I could have sworn it was enjoyable, this bottle was just not good.

Pours a darker amber color with shallow pancake spatter. Spatter recedes to the edges leaving a dusty film canopy and a fine ring. Aroma of malted biscuits and raspberry. Medium nectar w/ ample residual effers. Flavors are fruity w/ a thin malty body upfront. Theres a slight tart raspberry character w/ cereal and minimal honey presence. The finish is toasty w/ fine to moderate bittering. Overall: not too much of anything here. Nice balance. I really didn’t notice much of the honey, just a slight earthy sweetness before the raspberry takes over.
