Again a great aroma also, very raspberry, like raspberry cheescake, hints of honey and a touch of malt.
Flavour however lets this down..its thin and very sweet, to be expected, but its just like a saccarine sweetness, with little hint of the hoped for honey. Ths finish is dry enough to save this from being overly cloying.
Did not like the mouthfeel to this one, thin, and almost over the top sweet stikiness.
Overall a beer that looks good and smells great but the tate and mouthfeel let it down big time. presario (3009), Calgary, Alberta, Canada
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jun 4, 2006 Dark golden brown with a rich honey caramel coloured head. Raspberry aroma with an artificial or tin edge. Flavour is predominantly warm malt and honey at the front and finishes raspberry, malt and honey. Nice mouth feel. Actually a nice use of honey and an extract added beer that still tastes like beer. I would like to find on tap on a patio. tauruslw33 (68), Erie, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jun 3, 2006 I was excited to get ahold of this bottle. Beautiful fragrance and color. Unfortunately the taste was kind of bland for a flavoured beer. Not an ale flavour, nor a raspberry flavour in it. It was more like a light beer than a specialty. 5000 (2634), Hardened Liver, Washington, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | May 21, 2006 Bottle: Fiery amber, moderate sudsy off-white head, spotty lacing, light carbonation. Musty nose, some notes of raspberry and sweet grass. Very faint and artificial, but it sure brings me back to the days when I had several Spanish Peaks varieties available to me. Seems fairly malt, more than I remembered. Body and mouthfeel are average. Soft finish, very light fruit at this point. Perhaps the honey is more noticeable here than at the start when the fruit was a bit stronger. Tiz okay, but fairly weak otherwise.

| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | May 19, 2006 12 oz bottle, out of the bottle. Aroma smells of sweet raspberries and light malt (as it breathes, the aroma dies a bit). Taste is fairly bland, bringing out a very subdued raspberry taste which quickly passes into an overpowering honey overlap with a bit of sweet malt near the end. Very light. If this tasted anything like it smelled, it would be a much better fruit beer! Cobra (1066), In a van, down by the river, Maryland, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | May 12, 2006 12 oz. brown, longneck bottle. No freshness date seen. Poured out a hazy, reddish amber color, with no head at all. Aromas are pretty subdued, it’s hard to pick out any one component. Flavors are of artificial raspberries, bland malts, and not much else. Thin body, even thinner mouthfeel. Strange, funky, earthy taste to it. Chalky aftertaste. Not the best fruit beer I ever had. BückDich (4857), McCall, Idaho, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Apr 20, 2006 Bottle: Pours a pellucid amber color with retentive white head. The nose is ripe with a sour sulfer, lighter fluid, burnt hair note along with some cheap raspberry extract. You could find fresher raspberry smells in the candy isle. The flavor is lightly sweet, not much body and a bit of a dry and chalky finish that really makes me want to scale my gums and shave my tongue. Not that good. | 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Mar 28, 2006 Bottled. Poured a hazy, deep apricot/orange with a short-lived, chalk-colored white head. Aroma was damn-near nauseatingly-sweet... artificial raspberry puree, sweet honey... with lots of power coming from those. Flavor was exactly the same stuff, with a tacky feel to it. Thin-bodied and moderate carbonation. I don’t know where they hid the "Pacific Northwest hops" from the description. This was really hard to drink.
