| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Mar 28, 2006 Bottled. Poured a hazy, deep apricot/orange with a short-lived, chalk-colored white head. Aroma was damn-near nauseatingly-sweet... artificial raspberry puree, sweet honey... with lots of power coming from those. Flavor was exactly the same stuff, with a tacky feel to it. Thin-bodied and moderate carbonation. I don’t know where they hid the "Pacific Northwest hops" from the description. This was really hard to drink. Tmoney99 (4742), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Mar 28, 2006 Bottle. Poured clear amber with an average frothy white head that diminished quickly. Average sweet raspberry aroma. Light body with a thin texture. Heavy sweet raspberry aroma with an average finish. Another sweet fruit brew. pinkzambia (989), Boise, Idaho, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 13/20 | Mar 22, 2006 Bottle: Ok, I have to say that most fruit beers are horrible, but I could actually handle this one. It is a clear amber color with a small off-white head. The aroma is mainly malty and other sweetness with a light fruit presence. When I tasted it I was surprised by how much rasberry I did taste, definitely more than expected. The aftertaste is a mild wheat flavor with no bitterness. The carbonation was noticeable and provided a lively and creamy feel. At times, it almost tasted like I was having an raspberry ice cream soda with beer added.
While everyone is thrashing this beer in the ratings, I think it was pretty good for what it claims to be. What do you expect? Speedway stout? One other note, my label says it is from Bozeman, MT, but rate beer lists it from Hopland, CA. smcd (366), USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 13, 2006 (12oz Bottles) I found one of these this morning. It used to be one of my favorite beers, so I had to give it a try. And, surprisingly, the bottle had held up well (it has to be at least a year old ... at least). Some rasperry aromas. Pleasant maltiness. Soft palate. Just a tad sweet with a hint of raspberry syrup (disappointing). Still, a very drinkable beer ... if only it were a lambic ... <sigh> ... Kodos (200), USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Mar 5, 2006 Amber pour, small head. Didnt taste any hops, sweet, slightly malty. Tastes exactly like a few wine coolers I’ve had. Goblincat (357), Westland, Michigan, USA
| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Jan 30, 2006 Pours orange/brown, with thin tan head. Light fake raspberry nose. Taste is really artificial, like lip gloss or something, covering any beer and bordering on wine cooler. Ugh. biznizness (935), Mooresville, North Carolina, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Jan 26, 2006 Have to say... not too good. NOT too good at all. They always used to have this at McGrady’s in Bethlehem but I never rated it. Tastes like a thin-bodied, bland pale ale with some raspberry syrup poured in it. NOT too good at all. ehhdayton (1113), USA
