Commercial Description:
A light bodied amber ale made with wildflower honey and natural raspberry. These ingredients, combined with five domestic and imported malted barleys, Pacific Northwest hops, water and ale yeast, creat a unique, fruity ale with a soft palate and a touch of sweetness.

Editor's Note: It is unknown at present exactly where each of the Spanish Peaks beers are being brewed. Flying Dog no longer makes any of them. Some are brewed by City Brewery in LaCrosse, WI. Expect this beer entry to move as more recent info becomes available.

Poured amber with little head despite active carbonation. noticable floaties. Intial aroma was malty, then it ws raspberry iced tea. Tasted like raspberry iced tea without sugar. little tart on the finish. went down fast. I think I drank the glass in about 5 minutes. Not for me.

An excellent fruit flavored beer, dark red in color. Noticable raspberry taste both in start and finish with a pretty small head. no bite or sign of hoppiness.

12.20.02 bottle. Pours orangey pink, light foam, visible eff. Mouth puckeringly sweet and medicinally berry flavored. I’ve been subjected to this punnishment too many times. Malty softness, clinging plastic aftertaste. Totally artifical tasting and really a horrible beer.

This was a good fruit beer. Not overly fruity like a Lindeman’s lambic, but just enough to be enjoyable and refreshing. Worth a try if you like fruit beers and a good choice for the warmer weather.

Pours a light red with little head but great carbonation. Aroma is of soft rasberry, honey, malted oats. Flavor is of a good summer rasberry iced tea. Smooth on the tongue.

On Tap. I normally would not order a ’honey raspbeery’ beer, but on of the bars by me gives away a glass every wednesday and this was the beer. . Smells of honey, raspberry and malts. Amber color. Sour/tart aftertaste. I did not like this beer - but hey, I have a glass from them now.

Medium ruby, with a small head. Smells just like raspberry... you can tell this isn’t cheap candy-extract. Flavor is very full, but doesn’t let you forget it’s a beer. This is a decent fruit beer- not mindblowing, but highly drinkable.
