Commercial Description:
A light bodied amber ale made with wildflower honey and natural raspberry. These ingredients, combined with five domestic and imported malted barleys, Pacific Northwest hops, water and ale yeast, creat a unique, fruity ale with a soft palate and a touch of sweetness.

Editor's Note: It is unknown at present exactly where each of the Spanish Peaks beers are being brewed. Flying Dog no longer makes any of them. Some are brewed by City Brewery in LaCrosse, WI. Expect this beer entry to move as more recent info becomes available.

Light ruby red in color with a medium off-white head. Mellow raspberry aroma with a touch of honey and bread. Tart raspberry flavor, with a dry finish.

Clear orange red color, with a thin head. Fruit and plastic aroma. Sweet ending that sticks around when you wish it would go away. I feel like I’m rating this too high.

Nice clear deep copper pour wiht a light foamy tan head. Raspberry aroma. Some tarty fruit as well? Crisp taste with the hint of raspberries in the background. Some malt as well. Pretty decent. Not a bad beer at all.

Pours a dark amber golden color, with a light, foamy head. Aroma is very fruity, with the sharp tartness of raspberries. Taste is similar, very light and sweet. Not a bad ale.

Pours a deep amber color with a nice little frothy, fizzy head. Has kind of a funky sour aroma, with just a hint of fruit. The taste is clean, not cloying, with raspberries in the background, just subtle enough to be tasty. Buttery, grassy finish, not bad at all.

Crystal clear, deep amber ale with a small, fizzy, beige head. The nose is a little frambroise-like. Very light raspberry notes and not much else. The flavor is lightly fruity and very malty, but decently balanced. The sweetness is nowhere close to being obtrusive. Medium-bodied with an oily mouthfeel and lively carbonation. Short, dry, grassy finish.

A hazy dark amber color with a small rapidly diminishing head. Nose is sweet with some obvious honey and raspberry. Flavour is good, maybe a bit artificial but still pretty good.

Pours copper withan off-white head. The aroma is unquestionably raspberry. Not much body but a refreshing fruit flavor and makes it a good cold drink on a hot day. Crisp, clean, satisfying.
