Aroma - Raspberry, Raspberry and more Raspberry - and the taste followed suit. I think this would be a fairly drinkable beer in summer but after drinking lots of fall and winter brews lately this one made my face pucker up with the sourness of the fruit - it takes a couple of these to get used to it. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Oct 31, 2008 The most similar beer I’ve tastsed is Leinenkugel’s BerryWeiss and this is so much better. The BerryWeiss is so sweet whereas this has the flavor, but isn’t so sweet. You can taste that raspberry specific flavor right on the tip of your tongue. Butters (1651), Virginia, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Oct 30, 2008 Clear brown with a purplish hue and good khaki head. Nose is weak clean malt. Flavor is definitely raspberry, and some earthy floralness. Very sweet. Thin palate with lots of carbonation. Not horrible, but too sweet for my taste MatSciGuy (639), Rosemount, Minnesota, USA

Aroma is tart raspberry and floral honey. Flavor has just a touch of raspberry. Terrible thin, watery mouthfeel. natejgood (190), Denver, Colorado, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Oct 7, 2008 Pours a medium brown with a thick white head. As one might expect, the aroma is strong raspberry, but is smells tart rather than sweet. The flavor is a little disappointing. It tastes sweet rather than tart, and the raspberry flavor doesn’t come through very strongly. Not a bad beer, but the flavor is a little lacking. Jsawyer (286), Glenside, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Oct 6, 2008 This isn’t the first time I’ve had it, just getting around to this. I must say I’m not surprised at the percentile. It has a light amber body with a thin fading head. Smells sweet but not complex. The flavor is much the same. The raspberry and honey don’t quite blend well. The raspberry is somewhat tart and doesn’t play well with the over-sweetness of the honey. If you can put up with this ale long enough it eventually divulges some malt and hop character but not enough to forgive the over the top sweetness that constantly harasses you with every sip. This would be a good beer for children or people that don’t like beer. RSRIZZO (1369), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 27, 2008 Aroma is a fresh fruity scent. Color is a bright amber with good carbonation and a nice off white head. Taste is fruity and spicy. Starting with a light body it goes down easy with a crisp feel. Finish comes in with a light raspberry taste and spicy feel that lends a faint bitterness. After taste is clean with a mild tartness. This is a very good brew and one of the better fruit beers I’ve had.
