Commercial Description:
A light bodied amber ale made with wildflower honey and natural raspberry. These ingredients, combined with five domestic and imported malted barleys, Pacific Northwest hops, water and ale yeast, creat a unique, fruity ale with a soft palate and a touch of sweetness.

Editor's Note: It is unknown at present exactly where each of the Spanish Peaks beers are being brewed. Flying Dog no longer makes any of them. Some are brewed by City Brewery in LaCrosse, WI. Expect this beer entry to move as more recent info becomes available.

One of the better raspberry beers. Neither medicinal nor sour, nor tangy. Slightly sweet and fruity, like one would expect.

By far the best raspberry-type fruit beer I’ve had in years. Very "natural" raspberry flavor; and very drinkable; Much better than other fruit beers like Magic Hat #9. Almost as drinkable as the old Norwestern Brewery Raspberry Wheat ale made in the same Saratoga brewery about 10-12 years ago under that name...

12 oz bottle. Nice beer. Pours a amber- red body. Aroma is crazy berries - like Starburst candy. Taste is fruit again - raspberries. Great beer.

very impressed! poured an absolutely gorgeous light burgundy color. nose consisted obviously of fresh raspberries and malts. nice refreshing taste. tasted like fresh raspberries with a pleasent tartness to it. nuances of honey sweetness. good job! excellant for a hot summer day. will defenitely purchase again.

Aroma is a fresh fruity scent. Color is a bright amber with good carbonation and a nice off white head. Taste is fruity and spicy. Starting with a light body it goes down easy with a crisp feel. Finish comes in with a light raspberry taste and spicy feel that lends a faint bitterness. After taste is clean with a mild tartness. This is a very good brew and one of the better fruit beers I’ve had.

A lightly flavored ale. People will say this is a chick beer, but it deserves more credit than that. It’s got enough malt to be called an ale, and its sweetness isn’t cloying. Refreshing.
