Commercial Description:
Fomerly known as Yellowstone Pale Ale. A traditional-style pale ale with a golden color and a full malt flavor that is surpassed only by the clean, crisp hop quality. The flowery, hop aroma is enhanced by a generous portion of dry hopping. Brewed from pale malted barley, crystal, Munich, carastan malts, Pacific Northwest hops, water and ale yeast. Note: last brewed by Mendocino Brewing.

Got this one @ Gomer’s Kansas. I love my APA’s I do I do. Very good pale ale. Good hops, nice malts, nice citrusy, sweet tea undertone. Another very good beer from the Big Sky State. Will definitely want to try more from this company.

Bright amber appearance with a bready aroma that took a little coaxing to bring out. Flowery, spicy hops dominated the taste at first but was soon replaced by a more malty, toffeeish flavor. Smooth, mildly carbonated with a clean, lasting finish.

Bottle: Pours a light orange with a little brown mixed in. Medium, lasting head. Little aroma, maybe a little spicy hoppiness. Flavor is pretty decent. Mildly hoppy, a little grape, and quite crisp. Finishes dry. Better than I was expecting.

Medium sized offwhite head, good retention and plenty of lace. Clear light amber/copper color. Lightly fruity nose. Med/light body. Light, flowery hop flavors with a toasty maltiness backing them up. Finish is medium dry with a slight astringency.

Pours a shade of red that would best be described as dracula’s wedding dress. No head, decent aroma definately lots of good stuff in this one. Taste is little flat, has hints of hops, but not enough to make it great. kind of a weird finish, sticks around a while, leads to sticky mouth.

This is one of the most bland, boring pale ales I have ever tried. Watery, and unbalanced, underhopped. The malts have a nice sweetness, with some honey and caramel, but just not enough hops for my tastes. Uncharacteristic.

Sparkling clear, deep golden ale with a small, fizzy, off-white head. The nose is earthy, herbal and floral with a touch of clover honey. Well-hopped, but not overly so. Medium-bodied with a silky mouthfeel and lively carbonation. Lengthy, bitter, dry finish with a bit of grapefruit rind at the very end.

One sniff and I sure hope this is an old bottle, but without a date, I can’t tell. Hazy dark golden color with a modest dark cream colored head. Sweet honey aromas along with weathered pine boards and now that I sense it, tons of butterscotch. This just smells sticky. Well the flavors are a touch more palatiable. Lots of hops bite throughout the quaff, which overtake the malt and hold it down until late in the finish. Too unbalanced and the aroma drops this one down.
