Commercial Description:
Spanish Peaks Nut Brown Ale is a medium bodied beer with a toasted malt aroma. Brewed with pale, rye, victory, crystal, and chocolate malts, the flavor is somewhat sweet and malty with a spicy, balanced finish. It is a smooth, easy drinking beer with a subtle nut flavor. Note: last brewed by Mendocino Brewing.

Pours ruby-brown, fluffy head (gone in moments), with a smooth light mouthfeel. Sweet malty aroma like burnt caramel. Flavor is predictably malty, sweetish, lightly creamy, surifically robust, easy to drink, with hazelnut and coffee/toffee.

Pours deep, dark brown, minimal hed. Nose is molasses, roasts, & chocolate. Flavor is roasted chocolate, some nuttiness and hint of molasses. Good session beer.

bottle-pours amber with very light carbonation. sweet, hioppy, roasted peanuts, honey and some light chocolate in there as well. flavors show the peanut quality moreso than the other aformentioned aromas. Some light walnut quality as well. some light oxidization for shure in there. decent body for a brown ale-full, but suffers from lack of carbonation. overall, an average nut brown.

It’s got the gritty brown texture; the mouthfeel you hope for in a brown. A bit malty, but aren’t most of them. Chocolate was hardly noticeable. A good beer when you need a break from excessive IBUs.

Dark mahogany brown beer with a tan head that lasts a little while. Pleasing aroma of sweet chocolate. Flavor is excellent chocolate, lightly nutty, medium body beer, with a faintly bitter finish. Yummy. Better cool instead of cold. Reminiscent of the spectacular Fuller’s London Porter, but lighter in all respects. I really enjoyed this one. Purchased a six pack for $7.99 at Broudy’s, Orange Park FL, and well worth the price.

Reddish brown with a quickly disappearing bubbly head. Slight sweet aroma. The flavors are sweet wood and a hint of cocoa. Quite drinkable, yet undistinguished.

from the bottle. poured a nice mahogany with a light tan head. aroma bitter sweet chocolate, malts, and sweet fruitness. falvor weak chocolate, malts and did pick up a hint of apple, and got some sweetness out of it as it warmed a bit.this was better than the raspberry ale I just got done with

Pretty good overall -- pours a nice ruby with a 3/4 inch off white head. Head dissipated to a 1/4 inch quickly tho. Aroma was not much to be desired -- faint maltiness but no real inviting stuff. But the taste certainly made up fo it -- wonderful malty chocolate and slight caramel coffee notes. Very tasty and had me quickly sipping more. Somewhat commercial tasting -- as though you can taste the pasteurization? Anyhow not usually impressed with SP but I will buy this one again -- cheers!
